Eastarjet only open for booking 02 and half months before travelling date.

I will arrive Jeju at 0805hrs on 22/4 and return to Seoul on 24/4. Returning flight at 1305hrs. My sisters and I will rent a car. We booked with KUMHO Rent A Car. New 1.3 SM Hyundai for KRW89,000 for 02 days. Pick up and drop off at Jeju Airport.

We plan to visit Majanggul Cave, Jeju Folk Village, Jeju Stone Park, Trick Museum, Art Land, Seongsan Ilchubong Peak (for sunrise), Seopjikoji Coast, Saryeoni Forest Path, Oedolgale Rock and NANTA or JUMP show.

When is your travelling period?
*
How did you manage to rent the car for that rate? I've checked their website for car rental prices and most of the time I see quite expensive rate. Did you email them directly or you just booked from their website?

How much you rented your car for per day?

Listiani, I just checked briefly for car rental in Jeju for both avis and kumho and both give me cheapest at 80000+ won per day for the cheapest compact. Haven't register as member though...

Hey guys, I need some help. Does anyone know what is the alien registration number when booking eastar jet flight?

Hey Listiani, you are taking Eastar to Jeju right? What did you fill in the Alien Registration Number when you book your flight tickets? Did you just leave it blank?

Yes, their room still available. Pls send them an email. You can keep your luggage when you go to Jeju. We did that too. The storage is in Namsan 3  which is next to Namsan 2. Be prepare on their tiny little room. Even triple sharing room is tiny. Left small space for our luggage and to move around.
When you say tiny little room, are you referring to Namsan 3 or Namsan 2?

If I plan to go to Everland, do I need to get the tickets in advance or I can get it on the day itself?

Is there any travel agency there selling cheaper tickets for Everland? Just like in HK, I went into one of the travel agency offices and bought attraction tickets (Ocean Park, The Peak, Disneyland etc) for a cheaper price.

Sorry for the late reply, i got the car for only 67000w for 3d2n and it's kia forte.. Full insurance coverage, with english gps and even wifi in the car.. Driving in jeju was soo much fun, but can be a bit confusing in the town especially at the junction..

Added on May 16, 2012, 11:06 pmI'm now on the ktx just come back from day trip to yeosu expo.. Very nice ride, got wifi in the train..

For those who planned to visit the expo, youcan just do a day trip from seoul. Get yourself a korail pass and you can get the first train out of seoul to yeosu expo at 5.10am and return  back using last ktx at 9.50pm.. Journey will take 3hour ride and the station just outside the expo gate..

67000W for 48hrs? That's cheap! You said you rented from Kumho rite? How did you book it? Thru their online website? Or you rent it when u reached jeju airport?

Go to their website & register as member and you get superb discount. For 03 days 02 nites car rental I rent with them, Hyundai Matiz not even RM200.  biggrin.gif

In the registration page, i am required to fill in my driving license number. If I get my IDP, will it be the same as our driving license number? In short, do I need to get my IDP before I register or can I register now with my current license number (only applies if the IDP number is issued based on our Malaysian driving license)?

Can someone help me on this? For those who register with Kumho Rent, did you register after/before getting your IDP? I want to maximize the IDP duration since its only 1 year. Probably mid of next year i might need to use the IDP so if I register now, i'm afraid I will need to re-apply next year.

And any benefits to book early? E.g. my trip is on Sept, if I book now do I get any early bird discount or it's the same if book anytime?

So, what did you fill up in the 'Driving License Number' blank when you registered as member for Kumho Rent? You filled up with your current driving license number? That means the IDP number is actually the same with our driving license number?

Not really cheap.. When AAX started offering flight to Seoul, I got it for RM99 return i.e ~ RM330 incl of one luggage & tax/admin fee
*
That's only when they launch Korea as their new destination. A one off thing. There's no way we can get that cheap now. What's considered cheap nowadays is around +-RM600. I got mine for RM615 both ways inclusive of tax. It could be slightly cheaper. But this price is considered good already.

Hey Listiani, I remember you mentioned you rented your car with Avis when you are in Jeju right? How did you make the reservation? I registered at the Avis Jeju website (www.ajrentacar.co.kr/eng/index.jsp) and when I tried to make reservation, when I select the car category(e.g. Compact or others), a message box keeps popping out saying I couldn't select the category because i did not meet the requirements of having 1 year of driving experience or something like that. Did you make your reservation thru this website as well?

I register and email them to make booking but their rates keep on changing everytime they responded to my email and I cancel my booking with them and I booked with KUMHO Rent a Car. Cheaper and quick reply from them.

Did you pay for the LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) when you booked your car? Is this necessary or advisable to pay?

I ws quoted KRW19,200 for a full immunity LDW.

Aiyoh!! I don't remember anymore. I need to chk the receipt and copy of the car rental agreement.

Can you help to check and see whether did u pay for it? hehe...

But in general is it advisable to pay? It costs KRW19,200 for a full immunity Loss Damage Waiver. If I pay for it, in any case, any damage or loss caused by my own negligence will be covered. But if I take good care of it, it shouldn't be a prob rite?

Total rental charge            :43,500won(1)+(2)+(3)

(1)  Rental car charge    :46,500won

Thanks alot! I believe it's for 2 days (<48 hrs) right? Yours was cheap. I was quoted KRW62,400. The green car discount should be referring to non smoking.

Normally do people visit both Everland and Carribean Bay at the same day? Is there enough time to visit both? Or need to spend one whole day at each park? Are they close to each other? Walking distance?

Better to just spend one whole day there if you wanna play everything  hmm.gif

What I meant was would we have enough time to cover both everland and carribean bay on the same day? Or should we spend one whole day in Everland and another whole day in the Carribean Bay?
