Hi,

Can anyone point me to the best place to change USD to KRW in Seoul? Do we change at banks or do they have money changers like in Malaysia?

Thanks biggrin.gif

Seoul Money changers are everywhere haha.. U can even find them in the middle of Namdaemun market wth a small roadside stall  biggrin.gif  BT beware. Most of them not operating on Sunday for sure haha. The best rate for sure from this small scale roadside operators haha.. Seoul is one of the easiest place to find Money changers  rclxms.gif

Unfortunately, I don't understand Chinese. Can anyone help translate please? I can only take note of the location LOL.

Btw, I'm flying in with AA evening flight and I want to buy the Korea Pass (for the free transport top up). Does anyone know if the counter at the airport is still open at night? Looks like it can only be purchased at the airport.

And is it worth it to redah all the traffic to get the coupon book from Plaza Korea? Traffic jam is terrible there sweat.gif

Can I just ask you abt international roaming. I am using Nokia HP. Nothing fancy. No 3G whatsoever. Can I use this phone in Korea for international calls or sms to Malaysia?? I am using Celcom. I don't want to surfing internet whatsoever. I can do it in the guesthouse. I just need to call or sms my family in Malaysia.

On 3G you can roam only. Off your data and just ON you mobile network with 3G service. Then you're able to call or SMS. Most phones when they Off the data they will automatically go into 2G network instead of 3G. Surf net you can use Wifi

I think you have to bring a 3G phone. I brought my iPhone, and with 3G turned off I couldn't get any signal. Once I turned on 3G -- full bar!

Btw, I found that money changers in Namdaemun offered much better rates than Myeongdong (1130 vs 1120)

Spring - For flower lovers haha and mild cool temperature..(Can be cold sometime)...Not sure whether Seoul got Sakura flower or not.. 1st time seeing Sakura flower last mth in Tokyo..really nice feeling for sure  rclxms.gif .. You still can see snow sometime during this season
Seoul got Sakura, but probably not as many as Japan. Saw them at two places - Yeoinaru/Yeoido (along the river) and Jamsil (around Lotte World). Very beautiful sight!

They also have some Sakura festival going on near Yeoinaru/Yeoido. The place is jam packed with people last Sunday so avoid going during weekend if you can.
