btw ,I am confirmed and will be going to Daegu city this coming 14th July.

But I am a bit blur on the following, and hope you could clear my doubts:

1) As my exchange program will be based in Daegu , South Korea, I have decided to have a trip beyond this city, maybe at Busan, Seoul etc which have a lots of interesting and tourist hotspot places to travel right after my exchange program. and so I have extend my flight to 2 more days for travelling around to these places. which places do you think are worth to visit and have plenty of cheap motels to rent for staying up to 2 days?

2) How is the mobile phone up there? is there a need to buy a new sim korean number? I am using Digi btw.which do you think more affordable?

3)Besides Jeju island as a must visit places in south korea, what else places are recomended highly?

Hi Cyruz13,

I have seen the jeju hiking inn, http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.p...33#availability
the price shown is quite affordable, RM50+ per person. just wonders is it the cheapest inn around jeju?

Do we need to book in advance prior to our arrivals?

Also, I read somewhere, that some places have a limit to how much a visitor can bring. is that true that there is a cash limit of $10,000US you carry on you when going through Incheon Airport Customs?

If there is one, please tell me how much it would be. smile.gif

I see! what is the reasoning for changing half to woon and half to usd? is changing to usd then change to woon in korea more worthy?

by the way, which mode of transport do you think is more affordable to go jeju island from seoul/daegu for a day trip? I have learn that flight ticket alone could cost me 90,000 woons one way which is quite expensive ><

Between the T money card or Korean Pass card, which one is better for a traveler in south korea. I will travel for maybe a week time, is it advisable to buy these cards?

can these cards be used in any places in Korea?
