The thing with weather, they are unpredictable. When I went to Korea in April, people told flower not blooming yet. But we saw many cherry blossom around KBS TV station building, Namsan Tower & yellow flower in Jeju (I forgot the name of yellow flower). The whole field was yellow and we basically run around and rolled on the field because it was too beautiful to resists. biggrin.gif

I have never been to Busan and Lotte World so no comment there.

QUOTE(wyen @ Dec 6 2012, 09:08 PM)
Dear that price I put there is for 3pax haven't divide it yet lol
I booked for triple room at hong dae area and quad room at jeju.
I booked air busan and Eastarjet for rm194 return per pax to jeju
Going to stay 8nights at seoul and 2nights at jeju. Accommodation for 10nights rm651per pax.
So tickets to jeju rm194 + hostels rm651 for 10 nights = rm845 per pax still ok right? tongue.gif

Halal food is not a problem. Another option is vegetarian. They even prepare surau for muslims in Everland & Nami Island. Got 1 halal cafe in Nami Island. PM me, I give you the link for guide on halal food. I was in Korea for 10 days & not problem at all in finding halal food.

I spend RM4000 on food, shopping, entrance fees & car rental exclude air ticket & accommodation. I went to Korea with shopping & sightseeing purposed so my budget was big.

For airline, hard to say. I paid RM1700 for return ticket with MAS. But my friend paid RM1500 for April 2013 via AA. So u just need to browse and look a round a little bit. Do some homework.

Cheap ticket depending on airline sales or promotion. Some get it more cheaper & some get it for middle rates. Similar to Air Asia or MAS also. They got sale/promo occasionally. Jeju to Busan you can take plane or ferry. But ferry longer journeylah. Takes up your day.

KTX start and stop at Seoul station.

I will advise forumers here to do some homework first before asking the same questions. Nowadays information are vastly available on the internet. Pls refer to Page 1 before post your question here.

The car rental calculated base on 24 hours usage. You take today at 1200hrs, you must return it at 1200hrs on day after tmrw. If you return it later around 4-5pm, they will calculate on extra hour. But when I rent a car from KUMHO, we collected the car at 9am & return it at 1130hrs but they didn't charge us anyhting. Dunno why.

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Dec 11 2012, 01:08 PM)

i saw mostly all of u guys return in the morning or noon. i afraid ntg for sight seeing dy.. since i will be renting a car at jeju. if i bek in the evening, it's calculate at rented at 3 days?? i'm confuse..

To cover the whole Jeju need at least 1 week. I have the same programme with you also exept that my flight leave at 2pm. You can't cover all but you must cover the most important place. I give you the list below the must go places.

Seongsan Ilchubong Peak (must watch the sunrise. So be early before sunrise and chk what time is sunrise. I went there in April 2012, sunrise was somewhere around 515am)

Jungmun Cliff, Majanggul Cave, Jeju Folk Village, Seopjikoji, Tangerine Orchard, Jeju Stone Park, Cheongjiyeong Waterfall & Mystery Road. We missed Mytery Road because we lost our way and wasted our time driving here n there. But the consolation was, managed to take the windtracker pics ala Secret Garden at the coastal road laugh.gif laugh.gif

We went to all the places above. Plus, se went to Jeju Min Land, Chocolate Museum, Art Trick Museum and watch the musical in Jungmun. Fantastik Show and it was really fantastic rclxms.gif

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Dec 11 2012, 01:30 PM)
oh my.. no wonder all choose return flight in the morning or noon.. alamak.. i go choose return flight in the evening.. sure kena extra charges dy.. bt the most impo if there is still places i can go around nvm.. i afraid ntg much for sight seeing dy thn it's kinda waste of time sad.gif

listiani.. u c my travel time.. do u think it's more thn enough to cover attractions in jeju? consider 2 n a half day in jeju

Yeah, back to hostel continue sleeping. 10am only start tour again. hahahaha!!

Not difficult but for those who are lazy to exerise you might find the hiking is tiring. So you can start practice walking and hiking now. As for me, I don't have any problem coz I regularly exercise.

Chk with the hostel/accommodation host what time is sunrise or chk with the local.

Added on December 11, 2012, 2:23 pmFirst of all, you must know that Jeju is about the same size as Singapore. The places of interest scatter all over Jeju. Meaning, east coast to west coast. From east to west or vice versa takes at least an hour journey driving (pls add in losing your way time probably 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours). So you must plan your itinerary and where you want to go otherwise you will be zigzagging across Jeju Island and wasting a lot of time. Get a Jeju map and find each location of places you want to go then draw your programme base on how many days you have. Good luck,

QUOTE(pippolan @ Dec 11 2012, 02:07 PM)
Listani,

this is a attraction in Jeju Island right??

Usually how many days can cover.. Am not going all the places.. maybe some of your mention above i can go..

Yes, you can rent a car in Korea. Our license cannot use. Must apply International Driving from JPJ. Bring 02 passport size pics, photocopy of IC & driving license, go to any JPJ near your house/office, fill in the form and give it to them. Wait for 5-10 minutes and your International Driving License will be ready.

Sorry, I wrongly copy n paste the link

If your are Muslims, this thread are very useful for you as majority of the forumers in that thread are Muslims with details on how to go around in Seoul/Jeju & suburb. More info than this thread.

Wow!!! at least I konw somebody are paying attention. rclxms.gif

I do a lot of homework with subway link, how many hours journey etc by visiting KTO, emailing Jeju Tourism Organsation in Jeju & also visit SK booth during MATTA Fair to get more maps as certain good maps are not available in KTO office in KL and also not forgetting browsing the net.

04 days 03 nites is even better. I wanted to do 04 days 03 nites but sisters wants to do other things so I have to follow majority. blink.gif

You may want to chk out this guesthouse if i up to your liking or not. This hostel is very near to airport limousine bus station from Incheon. No need to drag your bag up and down the subway or crossing the street.

(one way to keep my wife 1 day away from shopping in seoul tho.. icon_rolleyes.gif )

too bad, namsan guesshouse not taking my reservation. too early!! (earliest 3mth). backpacker oso same but slightly better 4mths in advance.

If you have time, you can go to Mt Sorak. Very beautiful view I heard. My sister went there but I didn't. I went to Suwon to see the fortress and old buildings dated dunno how many hundred years.

I spent 2 hours only in Nami. Unless you are jiwang2 type maybe you need more time. But basically, you can finish it in 2 hours and proceed to Petite Frand & Garden of The Morning Calm. During spring & autumn, the place very gorgeous (Garden of The Morning Calm I mean).

If you want to save money you can take the shuttle bus. Cost only KRW5000 for the whole journey (or maybe more since they have increase bus and train rates recently). You need to keep the ticket, dont throw it away until you finish your trip.

Added on December 11, 2012, 10:48 pmDay 01 when you arrive Jeju, you will only manage to go to 3 places. Not possible you can go to all those places unless you do touch n go tour. To walk inside Majanggul Cave & looking around at least takes 1 hour. To hike up to Seongsan Ilchbong at least takes 40 minutes. So take your pick which one you want to go.
Cheongjeyong Waterfall open until 10pm if I am not mistaken. Perhaps you can slot in nite on Day 1.

Seongsan Ilchubong maybe you can slot in on your last day since you didn't do anything before flying back to Seoul. Best if you can see the sunrise. No amount of money can replace the view. Or sunset.

Day 02 Jungmun Cliff should be ok but Teddy Bear Museum?? Are you serious?? You should go to Jeju Folk Village than Teddy Bear Museum. So much things to do and see in Jeju Folk Village. We spent 2 hours in the village.

Jeju Olle I can't comment. I never go for Jeju Olle. Here is the link on Jeju Olle. See how long do you need to do this trail. Forgot to mention earlier, if you want to apply International Driving Permit, must pay RM150 to JPJ valid for 1 year. My International Driving still valid until 22/03/13. I want to use the same IPL for my New Zealand trip March 2013. I'll be in NZ from 7/3/13 till 22/3/13. Ngam2 tongue.gif
