uhm..gimp is like ps?
isit new program eh?cuz i never heard of it..

yes gimp is something like PS..some of the people said that gimp is better than PS..and i actually use it once and still feel that PS suits me more.

the starfishes size looks kinda weird... o.o

starfishs: Invade....... the........ ah jib gor's......... office.

u might need to refine all ur lighting of the "sea" in order to make it nicer. Also the starfish is a lil bit lack of depth of field imo.

the starfishes are below or on top?

really want to try GIMP potential and ability since im avid photoshop user, but well, my campus is cheapskate using open-source Blender instead of Maya, but image editing software rely on photoshop :/

any experienced GIMP user can tell me what makes you prefer to use the program instead of Adobe Photoshop? Apart of its a free and light program?

Yes, GIMP is like PS, though GIMP is Open Source and free.

with the diver above the tower bridge.

That's why you should see the diver being blocked by the bridge.

i use gimp to draw cartoon!

this is my friend, who is verrrry afraid of cats.

Nice and clean lines!.

I didn't know you could draw with GIMP,as I usually just use it to manipulate photographs.

Did you use a tablet or pen for the drawing?

As long as there's a color palette + brush, can draw and color already.
there's also other programs like inkscape, paint.net etc etc which are free but i'm kinda stuck with gimp cause can do picture manipulation as well with it.
i do rough sketch first, then scan and finishes it off on gimp, with a tablet

u mean the tower supposingly is in the water? well..then mayb u shud refine it in term of colors and lighting..=)) coz now it just seems im looking up at the tower outside the water

I welcome all comments and feedback.

I first started by tracing Harry using

a.Free select,feather edges,antialiasing,radius 30
b.Edit copy and then paste as new brush
c.I then pasted using the new brush onto the snow picture
d.I used the rectangle select to select the date on the bottom right, just below 12/04/2007
e.I used copy, to copy the defined rectangle of the snow just below 12/04/2007 and pasted this image onto the date above
f.I selected the blue colour on the right in the first picture using the colour picker
g.I selected the whole snow picture using rectangle select to define the area to airbrush
h.I sprayed the whole rectangle blue to match the blue colour of the cutout of Harry
i.I selected the whole picture again, flattened it using Layer-Merge Down
j.I selected the whole area using rectangle and then used Filter -Artistic-Softglow

i'm using GIMP right now too... but just a beginner. Is there any appropriate extension used here?? sorry still newbie
