I've ordered a few set of sleeved cables from one of the seller here in LYN forum. I've ordered a molex to sata cable and this is what I received: As you can see in the pic, the are two wires that are mismatched. The third wire went into the 4th slot and vice versa. Now, my real question is; is it safe to use? I am not knowledgeable in this kind of thing so I'm asking advice from sifus in this section.

Totally not safe to use.
You risk frying anything you connect it to.
Actually you can remove it and change the position.
Quite simple actually.
PS: Do not attempt unless you know what you are doing. Just send it back.

thi is how a sata connector shud look like.
as u can see the ground cables are alternate between 12v and 5v cable. u cannot expect it to be the same with molex connector. becoz molex have both ground cables in the middle. so yes i am definitely sure the connection is right and safe to use.

Yes, it's a SATA. So it's really safe then?
Though I'm not sure which of other end is yellow/red wire. I guess it's fine?

Oh yeah. I'll check it out soon.
EDIT: It's the red and black wires that are mismatched so I guess it's fine.

actually when in doubt there is nothing wrong in asking.. but just beware coz u may get the wrong infomation. some people just like to buat2 pandai only.. u shud straight away pm the person u got it from and ask for his explanation. u paid for the service so u are entitled for asking. the person may have been doing this job for a long time and he/she knows if its wrong or right.
