Guys, my connection has a line attenuation of about 56dB and a noise margin of about 7-9dB (which I understand, is not that good), but I have no problems with synchronization. Also, I have been told by a TM tech. that my connection runs through an RDSLAM near my house before being routed to the exchange. I'm getting about 70-80% of my subscribed speed. But why is my line attenuation so high and noise margin so low? Should I ask them to check on my line quality?

Guys, attached below is a screenshot of the status of my ADSL line:

I am currently subscribed to the 1Mbit package, but I can only sync at about 600-700 Kbps instead of 1024 Kbps. I've tried restarting my modem many times, but yet the sync rate stays within 600-700 Kbps. During one of the restarts, I managed to sync at 1024 Kbps but it only lasted for a minute or so, before the 'DSL' light on my modem blinked and I lost my synchronization. Can this be due to my phone line quality? As you can see in the screenshot above, my SNR margin is quite poor. I'm getting high line attenuation too. BTW, my line is connected to an RDSLAM which is located a few hundred metres away from my house. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Is it good? For your info, I've subscribed for the Streamyx Basic 1.0M - RM77 (Free Modem Festive Package). But the download/upload speed only shown 506/256.  :|

I'm having the same problem too. I'm subscribed to the 1 Mbps package but only synchronized at about 600-700 Kbps, which means that my actual speed is only about 450-550 Kbps. I'm waiting for my tech to come over.

Guys, what do you think of my line as shown above? I'm connected to an RDSLAM that's only a few hundred metres away from my house.

Hmm, didn't get any feedback from you guys regarding my previous problem but I'll share this with you all anyway. Got my line re-routed from the main DSLAM to an RDSLAM near my house. Problem solved! However, I'm getting IP addresses in the range of 60.x. I think I might be going through some fibre optic lines.

Previously, the SNR ratio was about 10dB and the line attenuation, 55-57dB.
