Anyone knew the exact problem for high rate of LINE ATTENUATION ??? doh.gif icon_question.gif

It's causing me DISCONNECTION at least 1 time per day , average should be less than 10 times since i was BT-ing the whole day ...

Sometimes the connection dead , sometimes DCed , sometimes downstream stopped but upstream still working ...

Anyway , i got my house's internal wire fixed last 2 months after i called a wireman rewire telephone wiring inside the house , so i guess it wouldn't be the inside wire's problem , should be outside's primary cable rite ?

instead of wire , could it be the port or so called "switch" near DSLAM ? rclxub.gif

I see i see ... Nvm then , hope so la ... rolleyes.gif laugh.gif
But such a rate of attenuation will affect anythng ? Like in 1 of the thread said , WILL FACE CONNECTIVITY ISSUES ... This seems unfair ... doh.gif

But i haven't DC since the telekom technician changed my line connector outside my house , just perfect ... But i have no idea how long my connection gona last ... rclxub.gif

mine 1 when 1st connect give me ds 31 us 23 dl attenuation 47 ul attenuation 53... after few hours, the ds will drop until 19 but us still at 23... more few hours, the ds will drop until 10 and us still at the 23...

I have call and make report with TM ppl... Their technical staffs come to my house and check... damn, u all guess what the shit they tell...

they bullshit say i should buy a ZTE spliter from them but they didnt notice that my house got 2 phone line... after i explain my house got 2 phone line then they bullshit again say something wrong with my telephone wall socket...

finally they make the conclusion say that my pc connect to the internet too long time need to plug out the phone socket to let its rest for 10 minutes just plug in again... OMG they suggest that i need to take tis action every 5 hours... dun their server got set the TTL...? why i need to do so...?
wat the hell they are...

Where got such thing ... They're just crapping to ignore your problem ... Something wrong with your wire ? New house ? How about calling 1300 and make a report , call them check your switch at the exchange or whatever that they could've done after making a report ... Phone them and insist that you want to make a report , if she/he ignore your words then you should be emotional !

" &**()%*O%^**(&)(()&%%^$^%#^&%^#^*#% " should work on the operator ... thumbup.gif

New house ... Then you can go blame TMNut and call them make a report for you ... No harm doing that , just need to waste part of your phone bill for that since they won't help ppl like us complain this complain that to make a report so easily ... If she/he called you to follow the troubleshootinf like i did before , tell them you'd been through all these kinda things and you're pissed ... Haha ...

My new router actually the same , router wont let the user know it will DC because the router got something like time-out setting ... It wont pop-up or show anything when it DC and it wil connect back automatically and continue using the same IP address ... GreyPJ is the same here i guess as he told me before about his Aztech router ...

i use manual connection same as a USB modem , got a notification icon at start-up menu there one so can see my IP whether the same or not ...

After the DSL light start blinking and activity LED stop blinking (meaning it was dc-ed) , BT at zero ... There's nothing happened like it was still connected and after the DSL light connected to the port and then stable , then connected to internet, it will continue BT and i can surf again with the same IP address ... That's why i wouldn't know if i was DC-ed before , don't know the technician know this or not , maybe they're using this trick to fool customer to buy telekom's modem or whatsover to reduce their customer's mess thrown on them , i will tell them the same problem persist using the modem borrowed by them since im telling the truth ... biggrin.gif

Your SNR is the same as mine but Line Attnuation lower than mine ...
Call Telekom technician check your internal wiring and the cable connected from your house to the pole ...

After the TELEKOM technician came to change my port, my connection changed ... From INTERLEAVED mode to FASTPATH mode ...

For the worse , the stability is like HELL ...

Any solution to be suggested ?
