I got this reading, the best SNR yet in LYN... notworthy.gif

That is the NEGATIVE SNR value!!! -17!!! Sometimes I even get -43!!!
But I never face any DC problem, this will only effect my upload/download activity.
I keep getting DNS error and no activity...
My Aztech 900EB2 modem can survive this low SNR value sweat.gif

Facing this problem since April,2006. Already made 6 reports regarding this.

Finally, a technician come to my house and said, your capacitance 100% (SNR), there is nothing I can do. It takes time to change the line. He added, no one complain in your area, you are the only one, it is hard for him to change the whole cable just because one case.
He also stated that the exchange in the main center ok, the problem occur at the inter exchange near my place.

WTH, nothing they can do? I am paying the $$$ and i get this reply.

BTW, I am staying in Penang, according to the technician, my inter exchange at Jelutong...

that their policy,
user /customer can't make anything...

or u can try to ask them about change the phone line also,
when phone line is change to a new one,
hope that new line is ok too for streamyx connection....

They fix the line 2 days ago. I think they change the DSLAM in the exchange...
Now i am getting SNR 30...All my downstream seems to be working perfectly now.
But i notice that my upstream Tx power >23dB!!!.
Isn't that the tx or rx power must not be more than 15dB???

Regarding your SNR, there is nothing u can do... just call tmnut technician...file more report on your cases...

Normally the technician will refer this SNR as high capacitance...
