my upstream SNR is quite low , what does it mean ?

Also for past few weeks have been having frequent dc .

junkfish, ur snr ar 30 should be excelent. most probably they are doing upgrading.

jonnie, urs abit low, might get dc some times. if can get 15+ it's good.

Having major disconnections during peak hours,at night and when someone picks up the phone.but the thing is..i don't actually get disconnected but instead the adsl light will start blinking.I noticed this when my mum picked up the phone.and it happened several times...I think it's the same as getting d/c except there's no indication or pop-up window watsoever that tell's me that streamyx has been d/c.

can someone explain to me, whats my status of my connection?
since the "maintainence" carried out by tmnet 2 weeks ago, i am facing major problems.
Line connected,but kenot surf or do anything. OR, line disconnected itself.
BT....as i understand..throttled..nm, we continue with surfing.

Surfing....gets "no respond" frequently.

Complained to tmnet since i first get my streamyx in march..till now....
none of them can give me a good answer why my SNR so low, and Attenuation so high.

any idea how to fix it?


Curently using: Aztech dsl600eu Firmware 6x.xx.xx (slightly improved)
Previously using :Aztech dsl600eu firmware 3x.xx.xx(Frequently DC)

5.5 db is really problem for you ... Call TMNutz to check the line for you ..

is this ok? is Noise margin = SNR?
streamyx said my area very bad connection , so my 1Mb connection is reduced to 512 to improve stability. based on this modem reading, are they lying?

Your noise margin seems to be low (not good).
Your attenuation seems to be very high (not good).

See my Local Tx Power, why so big 1 ?

I have a strong feeling, mine is realli bad...pls comment..Ive been having frequent DCes.....like every 2 - 3 mins..esspecially if there is a surge of information...when I multi tab my explorer and etc..

I used to filter my phone upstairs..but I've been facing some problems with absolute DC when the downstairs phone is being used, so I moved my filter downstairs....improved a little but still happens...

Should i just bring this up to TMnet??
