you mailed them the proof? A technician came to my house and say he is gonna do something to my wiring, something about parallel thing, not sure he discussed with my dad not me =/ can that help? I was wondering the re-routing that you said, can i ask this particular technician from telekom to do that for me or it has to be from streamyx one
*
No I didn't mailed it to them. I just have have the image as standby just in case the technician wants to see it. But best thing is to let them test your line with their own equipment (laptop, modem). It also helps if you learn a bit about DSL as these technician sometime don't know much about DSL itself.

That re-routing you have to ask technician about the distance from your house to the exchange that your Streamyx is connected to.

If there is a closer DSL exchange you should try to persuade the technician to switch your "port" and to see the result. Very important you give them feedback on your connection status (such as SNR & max bandwidth).

i will see if the tmr's wiring thing works or not, if not i will follow your instructions. Hopefully it will as i heard i have to pay jus for installing that parallel thing by him. He says it works for a lot of people, load of bs i guess until it works for me. Thx dude

heys my connection isnt dc-ing now although no work has been done so far. My dls parameter and stats remain almost the same though. Is it best to get it sorted or wait till its blinking again?

The technician that re-route for you, is from streamyx ?

Don't let that fool you. If your SNR below 10dB surely can get DSL blinking again. The question is just WHEN. unsure.gif

Yes he must be since he is dealing with streamyx related issues. Any TM technicians handling data services should be the ones you are looking for.

I felt that my connection is kinda sinusoidal...fast...then slow....fast then slow...
But i'm not on wireless lo...

Sigh...first time and first day of uncertainty makes me dread thinking of the coming days (daze)...

I think i should call up TM by end of today if the connection still like that.. sweat.gif icon_question.gif

i'm using Aztech DSL 305e modem. I managed to access to its homepage but it doesnt provide SNR status for me. I'm really desperate to find out my SNR status as i'm facing lotsa dcs lately.

I have to restart my modem everyday just to get back the connection. Is there any other way to check my SNR status?...

Please type in the exact brand and model into Uncle Google first, after that you can post it in this thread. biggrin.gif

PS - By the way, did you go through the manual first? I don't have the modem though.

well i found it solve already but one thing i didnt understand...here's the situation

my IC (Internet Connection) is via Modem/Router (Riger Corp - supplied by TM.Net) which is set/configured by TM.Net's staff. Ok...from modem/router connected to SMC 5 Ports switch to share IC with 3 others rig (2 PCs & 1 Laptop). the thing is, everytime i reset or reboot the modem/router, my previous IP (before reboot/reset) will be taken by my other PC while my other PC into mine. i've checked through the Network properties and knew it was autoassigned by DHCP server which i don't understand, i tried to manually configure using (forcing) to use my previous IP but it appears it doesnt work, i can't connect even to my modem/router as well my other PC/Laptop too

I'd appreciate it if someone could take a look at my margins and tell me if there's anything wrong with 'em. I have been experiencing disconnection (each time I need to power off and on my modem, provided by TmNet, to get it connect)

Local Tx Power: 11.9 dB
Remote Tx Power: 15.5 dB
Local Line Atten.: 48.5 dB
Remote Line Atten.: 31.5 dB
Local SNR Margin: 29.5 dB
Remote SNR Margin: 19.0 dB
Self Test: Passed
DSL Standard: T1.413
Profile: MII
Tx Line Rate: 512 Kbps
Rx Line Rate: 1024 Kbps
Framing Structure: Framing-3
Trellis Coding: Enable
Power Management Mode: L2, L3 Not Allowed

By the way, my package is 1M package. but according to (http://us.mcafee.com/root/speedometer/default.asp), my speed is only 60 ISDN?

Your still ok and your dc problem maybe cause of modem or port problem. It's better you try change your modem with your friend and test it.
