Ask their technician to come over and check...

By the way, can anyone here tell me why is my Tx power so high??? Instead of 15dB transfer, i am getting 25dB!!!!

Let me tell u a story guys...about shitz Telekom and their f***ing streamyx...

one month a go i upgraded from512 to 1024 kbps streamyx

2 weeks ago there was heavy rain and thunderstorm in my area..and the next day..my phone line became like shit...so i calledup TM and complained...the very day they sent a technician who said that the cable outside my house has been struck by lightning(huh?). He did not repair anything and just left...at this moment my streamyx was still ok...

2 days later...my phone like was perfect..no noise wadsoever....but then my streamyx keep on disconnecting...SNR DL was less than 10 at most times and Line Att. at more than 50....so pissed off. I use Robert Sclabbach's (is dat how u spell it?) RASPPOE and found outtat they changed my access concentrator!!! so pissed...my old access concentrator was the best..no d/c no nuthing...

So i complained to streamyx...saying my streamyx keeps on d/cing....and this morning they called me up...KNNCCB...the idiot operator said myhouse was too far away to have 1 meg and she is submitting a report to have my line downgraded back to 512!!! CHebye lar....i use for 2 weeks ok ok until u idiots changed my access concentrator ler...still saymy connection lousy cannot support 1 meg... i noe they closeddown the access concentrator i used to use to save cost coz my area very few streamyx users!!!! DA*N lar....y lidat....

makes no difference ler..the whole application just hang at there, nothing happen

Few days ago my line got problem again.
The DS Margin was 2x and US Margin only 9.
The line speed show 1024/128 only.
I listened with phone, the line is very noisy.
Called telkom on Saturday and they really came on Sunday.
Now, my line is better than before.

What did they do,change your phone line?

They cut some wires and re-wired them.
I tested using speedometer 3 times.

Read everything, but i can't understand most of them...

Here's my problem:
I'm using Streamyx 1024KB (RM88)...

I've noticed that my DSL led on my modem sometimes blinks for a hundreds of time...
When the DSL led blinks, the line is like not connected, my streamyx is not disconnected but it seems like the broadband stopped...

This happens a hundred of times a day...

Sometime, the DSL led will blink for a very long time, sometimes it reach 12hours...

I'm using a ZTE modem supplied by TM itself...

When i've entered the modem setup (192.168.1.1) and go to the PPP under the WAN interface, the operation status would go "Link Down"...

When that happens, my internet connection stopped, i can't even surf the internet...

Someone, please help me...

Yea,it looks great.Before this you can't get such speed?

Before that not bad also, but fluctuated btw 6xx to 7xx Kbps.
When i first installed streamyx, a lot of problems. Only after i spent around RM 50 for calling them, eventually the problems solved.

Here's my 'beautiful connection'

Its been exactly half year i get this super good connection. Its get disconnect every 5mins
I've wasted RM60 on calling those stupid numbers and also send tons of complains to those TmSux.
But all they answer me is my house's phone line is parallel and they dont even care to check their wires at the tiang outside my house.

Y my house line is parallel? Its because the developer built it that way i've check with my other friends staying in another housing area, their house has parallel line too but their connection is way way better than mine... their bt is always 100kbs

So both my housemate and i hv discuss and hv made up our mine not to subscribe to streamyx anymore. we've decided to switch to the more reliable 56k

So to all those sufferer of streamyx dont waste anymore money calling them.. juz terminate ur account. And let those tmsux ppl know how bad their service are

Ur attenuation is high probably living too far from the exchanges, just like mine.

I think better u subscribe to ISDN lol. I'm thinking to unsubscribe streamyx and subscribe to TMisdn.

ISDN is better than 56k?

yeah, their dl speed is 128kbit. u can download files for 10+kbps.

just a question here.is ur telefon line going into ur modem close to monitor if u got CRT that is.last time i notice when i changed 2 new modem i forget n let the telephone cable go over my crt monitor n i get problem.
