depends on wud service.. i use to have a 1.5diameter dish on my roof for satelite connection... it can be used in ANY weather conditions... but the onli thing is.. its a one way connection.. onli download.. upload ned to use dial-up or any other connections..
and its expensive too..

conclusion : expensive and not worth the price..

most petrol kiosks use this way. they are vsats (very small aperture terminal sat) correct me if i am wrong.

actually astro got plan to do it some years ago. it can do 400kbps, but require phoneline for upstream.

conclusion.... expensive and not worth it, unless absolute necessary.

if u r in jungle and want internet, you can still use atur 900 for dialup i think.

But satelite connection is slower than streamyx, but more expensive. I think it's not worth at all. biggrin.gif Unless your house is in the jungle or an isolated island but you still want to view LYN everyday.

those sat. in petrol station wan need license.. to get it.. its expensive.. and if u wanna buy a dish.. the reciever can cost a bomb too.. so... if u stay in the jungle and REALLY desperate to get a connection... and willing to pay the price juz for a 2mbps/2mbps..

and 1 more thing... those 2 way dish is harmful.. radio wave is strong.. thats y u see them being fenced up..
