Car not even launch you already gave too much negativity. Typical Malaysian. How to maju if this kind of 3rd world mentality mentality keep exist. And your friend doesn't deserve to work at Proton since he doesn't even have confident with their company product. I bet your friend just the type who love to listen cakap2 angin.

guys. i am a complete noob about car service cost. this model probably will be my first car i assume i'll be moving around 10000 km per year. let say i reserve rm 1200/year for service cost of the premium cfe model. do you think it is enough? need your input. So little? And RM1,200 should be more than enough. I guess the service cost at least should be same with 2000cc NA car (maybe less). Not quiet familiar with turbocharge engine but if service cost is expensive, it will surely effect sales figure of this car. One normal service normally should be around RM150-RM300 only.

QUOTE(iSpace @ Mar 17 2012, 12:23 AM) Rather buy inspira. My fren just told me p3 will not be selling in some countries due tO its quality problem. NO offense. If u want problem free car better dont get p3 because my fren is one of proton's senior staff and he told me they found out inspira is muchmuch more better than p3.. Maybe is because of our proton still lack of knowledge to build a own design car. I would like your friend to meet mat79's friend.

Getting Started

|
I think, best is the 2nd version that will come out (donno when). As proton love to reintroduce their car with extra bodykit and colours. Facelifted does look like their kind of game..

Just normal engine attach with turbo support. This car target market is young executive and middle income people anyway. If service cost is too expensive, their target market surely will run away

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 16 2012, 08:19 PM) I know what you meant last time. Remember, the cvt powertrain was introduce with flx, and the first batch of flx had the cvt overheat issue, thats what i meant by design flaw that plagues the first batch, or the first models to use new tech or production methods. You keep on saying first batch FLX got CVT overheat issue, which is a wrong info in the first place. CVT warning indicator lights up for numerous reasons, not limited to overheat alone only.

Should be enough. Maintenance of the CFE engine should not differ much from the standard CPS/IAFM. I currently clock over 80K in my Persona IAFM.

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 17 2012, 02:04 AM) it was due to faulty oil pump in certain CVT which causes lower than usual idling rpm which leads to potential engine stalling. Added on March 17, 2012, 2:12 amFirst batch of FLX already comes with CVT cooler in the first place and therefore the chances of overheating highly unlikely. Added on March 17, 2012, 2:12 amFirst batch of FLX already comes with CVT cooler in the first place and therefore the chances of overheating highly unlikely. I stand corrected then. But the fact that a new car would inexplicable go into safe mode due to this, and Proton sheepishly "recalling" these cars, point to a flaw in the design or implementaation. I also vaguely recall a fuel hose placement issue that would cause the car to jerk, which was part of of things rectified in the "recall" exercise.
