QUOTE(mat79 @ Mar 15 2012, 05:21 PM) ha..ha..fuel is another factor. There are 28 countries being targeted to market p3, n not only thai n malaysia. Some markets need euro 5 compliants to save up on running cost. Do u know what are euro 5 emmision engine n euro 5 fuel? Both Engine & Fuel are needed to meet the EURO standard set by the EU members. If your engine support EURO 5, but running of fuel EURO2 do you think in the end emission is EURO5? In Malaysia, we cant even have EURO4 fuel quality which already a lot of diesel manufacturer are not bringing in their cars here.. Especially Merc CDI engine.. Even if bring in, the 1st thing is to remove the diesel particulate filter or Catalyze. If not mistaken EURO4 above, the Catalyze got 2 stage / heater or special material (Rare Earth!). That is why they rob off the HP but in return better emission.. So do you think Proton will have EURO 5 engine spec for us? Mostly yes for oversea, but not for us.. QUOTE(littlefire @ Mar 15 2012, 04:03 PM) Bro, u write so much just to explain why CPS cannot support Euro5.. Only 1 reason, our fuel quality currently only EURO2!!! Even worst then Thailand & India! So WTF Proton want to upgrade it?!? becuz......proton isn't sold in malaysia only boyits sold worldwide UK, AUS, egypt..etc etc Added on March 15, 2012, 5:38 pm QUOTE(littlefire @ Mar 15 2012, 04:58 PM) Both Engine & Fuel are needed to meet the EURO standard set by the EU members. If your engine support EURO 5, but running of fuel EURO2 do you think in the end emission is EURO5? they build the engine the SAME way...its not like oh for malaysia..this one made for euro 3, of this one for germany, tis one made for euro 5In Malaysia, we cant even have EURO4 fuel quality which already a lot of diesel manufacturer are not bringing in their cars here.. "COMPLYING" mean can support up to meaning if the engine meet the euro 5 standard...it can support 4, 3, 2 and 1 if the engine is euro 3...it cannot support 4 or 5 something like that if u know software...you'll know what i mean the reason is simply..proton doesn't sell in MY only proton sold their car in many other country as well...which have better fuel and the engine needed to meet that in order to be sold there This post has been edited by MR_alien: Mar 15 2012, 05:39 PM |

Proton has to expand to export market, hence going for EURO 5 is very necessary.
Even India has EURO 4 emission standard (Bharat Stage IV), hence if Proton wants to ensure success, it has to ensure no stones left unturned. |

QUOTE P3-21A A Global Car In Many Aspects, Says Proton KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) -- Proton Holdings Bhd's new model, codenamed P3-21A, is a global car in many aspects, said its Senior Director Operations, Dr Wolfgang Karl Epple. Epple said this is because experts from all over the world were involved in the processes to develop and design the car. "We have international benchmark processes such as the simulation. The team that developed the car is also international. We got experts from Italy, France, Germany, Korea, (involved) in the development of the car," he told reporters at Proton's "Power of 1" event at Bukit Jalil Stadium, here Thursday. The components for the P3-21A also came from various parts of the world including Australia, Europe, Korea and Japan, he said. Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd's Head of Styling, Engineering Division, Azlan Othman said the P3-21A is the result from the collaboration with Italian-based Italdesign Giugiaro, that would bring Proton to the next level in the aspects of design. -- BERNAMA |

Just booked and paid deposit for RM500 black color Premium Version.
Official price is confirmed. MYR75500. Latest date to get the car, mid of May. And i read the P&C letters from Proton, the SA left it on table then i.......hehehe guess what i get to read? In the F&Q section, "Many of our consumers are not satisfied with our quality and we have ensured every quality control be taken care properly by ensuring every parts we get from our suppliers are in high quality term. We have also filtered certain suppliers due to the lacking of quality parts supplied by them. Our objectives are to impress the first batch users and making sure they give us good reviews to improve the sales of this new model. We hope to impress the malaysians that this is the car that is made for the malaysians. Our competitors are the Japanese car manufacturers and not the local competitor car manufacture anymore. Thus, the prices of this car is slightly higher than usual. This is completely common for a car that committed to impress our customers." many more but this is the one that i think is the most important. Edit: Things to bring when going for booking: 1: MYR500 non refundable deposits. 2: 1 x company registration 3: 3 months company bank statement 4: Owner's Mykad 5: Owner's Driving license 6: Second driver's IC and license (Optional) This post has been edited by FenomX: Mar 16 2012, 12:26 AM |
