Was previously struggling on a decision between PC version and PS3 version, but now after deciding on PS3... Have to make a choice of pre-ordering from official/participating stores (and get those bonuses) or my usual seller doh.gif

Well, 2 days left to make up my mind laugh.gif Definitely going for CE, too bad only R3 available.

Yeah locally can only get R3 copies, the only way to get R1 CE is through Amazon or other online store, though Amazon already sold out on R1 CE

Those merchants who offer $10 promotional discount codes (eg. Amazon, Best Buy) are the very first to go out of stock. I'm pretty sure $79.90 ones by other dealers are still available.

Come to think of it, CE is the obvious choice for them US folks. $59.90 for standard edition, additional $9.90 for DLC... Might as well add $10 for CE whistling.gif

p/s: You got play A4O? brows.gif

*SPOILER ALERT*
IGN: Mass Effect 3 Review in Progress

"It's also worth noting that a few technical issues arise on the PS3 version as soon as you start playing, too. Fairly serious framerate issues plague the opening cinematic on Earth, and while this particular problem clears up as you play further through the game via future cutscenes, these hitches certainly concerned me early on. Likewise, lip-syncing is almost always off and characters sometimes appear stiff and can even flicker in and out of cutscenes when camera angles change. "
Be warned.

Hmm... What resolution does ME3 run at (still waiting for my demo to finish downloading)? If it's 1080p maybe can try lowering the resolution to 720p, that usually works for demanding PC games when the hardware can no longer keep up tongue.gif

Too bad for me the R1 CE from Amazon doesn't have $10 discount code, only the standard edition have it.

Haha been meaning to get A4O but till now haven't get, if it was a full single player game I would have gotten it on release, but it's a co-op and from review it's just not as good as the previous R & C games. Might get it later though when it gets cheaper.
Then it'll be the same problem as the demo, hope this problem get fix in future patch.

I see, guess they needed some ways to promote the standard edition laugh.gif

not internet lag. framerate stutters smile.gif . The pc version is so much better lol, either its the ps3 aging or bad optimization. But its usually optimization.

I agree, it does stutter quite a bit in comparison to the PC version. At least still playable but definitely not as fun (experience wise), hopefully it can be solved in the future with a patch.

To be honest, I didn't feel anything. No reaction at all, was actually paying attention to the VFX laugh.gif

Just played for 3 hours straight, would have continued if tomorrow is a Saturday but alas... Need to rest for work laugh.gif

Anyway, my CE contents and DLC have been downloaded successfully via PSN but BSN is rclxub.gif Wouldn't allow me to download soundtrack because it says my copy is not CE. Also noticed my player profile has both PS3 and PC listed doh.gif Have to contact EA support tomorrow ish...

Wah... Seems like majority of you guys playing MP. I'll stick to SPing for now since I enjoy this series so much, can't wait to find out what happens next (and hone my shooting skills before going online, not used to playing shooters on PS3 laugh.gif ) Took a tour around the "renovated" Normandy, changed into N7 hoodie, found a few model ships lying about, tailed my robotic dog which looks more like a mini dino, and talked to some crews including a gay. At least I think so coz he said he has a husband.

Game is still quite buggy though. Subtitles will jump in and out or delayed, conversations facing an empty wall, walking through doors doh.gif

Fuuuuu... Just 14 hours into the SP (just Act 1 btw) and ady have to make so many lousy choices because no save game import from ME2 (was previously playing on PC) dry.gif

For the whole weekend, I went from:
never mind, default should be enough => need to buy me2 => never mind, default should be enough => need to buy me2 + all DLCs => never mind, default should be enough laugh.gif Because somebody always end up dying. Oh well, we're trying to save the galaxy here so just like in reality, not everyone can have a happy ending.

Added on March 12, 2012, 9:33 pmAnd thankfully, no lockups/hangs/black screens for me. EA Support also fixed my account today so I can finally download the epic soundtrack. biggrin.gif

Guys, may I know what's included with the free Starter Pack (first time try MP tongue.gif ) or are unlocks totally random? Because I got a bunch of pretty much useless items + an Asari Vanguard. Will I get surely get a character with each pack? Kinda feel like playing Turian coz they look badass laugh.gif
