GAW not loading was the least of my problems, for me, one day it loads, the other day it dont. I never really bother to complain about it. you will probably need to be concerned if it affects your SP, but I'm not playing SP until Extended Cut, so I'm not going to be concerned for now.

enjoying this cool rapid reload+firing sniper. but it is only good on bronze and silver. in gold it may need to fire a few shot to kill a normal trooper.
*
it is perfectly good on gold. Lower error margin as well while dealing decent damage.

it is very handy. super fast reloading etc. but the damage is really low. :3 i really wish to see the max power of it.
*
Of course it is lower than the likes of Widow, but it is far more useful. You may not agree if you are talking about taking down bosses. but it kills basic troops much faster. A Widow or even the Black Widow, will take more time to kill a Centurion, for example.

i should be getting this game next week smile.gif should i start with campaign or jump straight into multiplayer ?
*
My mentality right now is, don't continue on the campaign until the extended cut DLC, but you may want to play a bit of the campaign to learn of the enemies and just plain to learn the different races so that you have familiar feel when you play multiplayer.

Well if it is really light, then it kinda make sense, finally a sniper rifle for casters. We have light weight assault rifle and shotgun, but not sniper rifle. So I guess Indra is the sniper rifle for caster?

oh.. so... did reaper spare their planet.. hmm.gif

lol if they think Reapers were that dumb. The Reapers may have not attacked them at first, Instead they focused on Humans, Turians, Asari, Salarians and Krogans, who has the main bulk of the military forces of the galaxy. Once they are done, they will move on to smaller targets.

Don't forget the Reapers excels at secrecy of their operations, they wiped the Prothean leaving no trace that a war took them out, but intentionally left discoverable technologies for civilizations to come. And they've been running secret operations in the form of Collectors for years, the Raloi is naive to think that destroying their satellites will fool the Reapers.

there was a suggestion that if Humanity never found the Prothean tech on Mars, Reaper may spare humanity, and our technologies going to kick their asses when they come back 50000 years later, but that is just a naive assumption.

Rebellion Multiplayer DLC to be released May 29th for FREE

user posted image

The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Reegar Carbine, Krysae Sniper Rifle, Cerberus Harrier) as well as equipment, consumables, and six new characters from species that have lost lives or whole planets to the Reapers: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Ex-Cerberus Phoenix Adept and Vanguard. The battle continues!

NEW CHARACTERS

user posted image

Vorcha Soldier
Thanks to their unique physiology and their Bloodlust ability, the Vorcha are joining the fight and are perfectly suited for the utilitarian soldier kit.

Vorcha Sentinel
The innate aggressiveness found within the Vorcha make them shockingly durable combatants, and when coupled with their Flamer skill, the Vorcha sentinel is a force to be reckoned with.

Male Quarian Engineer
Quarians have spent centuries at perpetual salvage and ship repair; the survival of their species depends on this technical expertise. When bringing the new Arc Grenade to the fray, the Quarians prove their prowess as effective engineers on the battlefield.

Male Quarian Infiltrator

The Male Quarian Infiltrator must actively rely on stealth while in the heat of battle, and when they make use of their Tactical Scan ability, they quickly prove their mettle while continuously dishing out the pain.

Ex-Cerberus Vanguard
When the Illusive Man turned to indoctrination in order to ensure the loyalty of his troops, many Cerberus operatives defected and joined the Alliance in order to stop the Reapers. Now that we’re on the same team, Ex-Cerberus Vanguards (along with their new Lash attack) are quickly proving their worth.

Ex-Cerberus Adept
A result of the Illusive Man's early experiments in enhanced human physiology, Ex-Cerberus subjects are highly skilled combat and biotics specialists. As a result, Ex-Cerberus Adepts can lay waste to the enemy with their Smash and Singularity powers.

NEW MAPS

user posted image

Firebase Jade - Surrounded by huge waterfalls, Firebase Jade overlooks an ancient reservoir built by the salarians centuries ago. Set up strategic chokepoints inside the base’s main buildings to get the jump on your enemy, and work with your team to meticulously clear each room to achieve victory.

Firebase Goddess - Nestled in the epicenter of a Thessian metropolis, Firebase Goddess is one of the last strongholds of asari resistance against the Reapers. With its circular layout, Firebase Goddess is a tough location to control. This arena combines heavy cover and elevated firing positions, so stay light on your feet.

NEW WEAPONS

Cerberus Harrier Assault Rifle - These Cerberus-modified Mattock rifles are fully automatic. Cerberus gunsmiths reined in the recoil issues, resulting in a gun that stay on target, but delivers slightly less punch per round than a standard Mattock. As such, the weapon is typically utilized by Cerberus’ elite troopers, who train constantly to make every burst count.

Reegar Carbine Shotgun - This electrical weapon improves upon the arc pistol’s design by generating a sustained current on its target. This weapon is named for the Quarian Reegar family, whose marines have served valiantly against the Geth.

Krysae Sniper Rifle - This Turian antimaterial rifle is modified to kill Reaper enemies. The Krysae’s scope uses a rangefinder that adjusts to keep the target in proper proportion to the shooter, which comes in useful when the sniper is forced into close range. Its specialized ammunition is both armor-piercing and explosive. In a desperate move, the Turians released its specifications over the extranet so that nearly anyone with a fabricator could manufacture this weapon to help the war effort.

New In-Mission Objective

Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.

New Gear Slot

A new slot will be available on the equipment screen, offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match. These new items will vary from weapon upgrades to character enhancements and will be available through reinforcement packs.”

So the Phoneix ended up just being EX cerberus ??? What a huge let down, I thought at least a Prothean if not Raloi  doh.gif

Anyway good news is its free.

BTW sjneow, can you recommend me any good builds and tactics for Vanguard on Insanity single player ?
*
I never played vanguard in SP, but based on my MP experience, take Reave as bonus power(or you can take Kaidan as Team mate). Level up your Charge, Nova, and Incendiary Ammo. The other powers are far less important

Charge: Rank 4 - Force & Damage, Rank 5 - Power Synergy, Rank 6 - Barrier
Nova: Rank 4 - Radius, Rank 5 - Power Recharge*, Rank 6 - Pierce Sustain
Incendiary Ammo: Rank 6 - Explosive Burst(the rest of the rank are far less important, so spec as you like)
Reave: Rank 4 - Radius, Rank 5 - Recharge Speed, Rank 6 - Damage and Duration
Fitness: just improve your shields.
Assault Mastery: go for power damage

Weapons - Preferable a light weight weapons to get your cooldown to be 200%

here is the tactic,

1) equip your gun with Incendiary Ammo,
1.5) use Nova(yes, with no enemies around you, use your own discretion whether you want to skip this step)
2) Cast Reave on a group of enemies(as your shield begins to recover from Nova)
2.5) use Nova again (these .5 steps can be skipped if you do not follow my build on Rank 5 Nova)
3) Charge an Enemy that got Reaved
4) before the Charge hit the enemy, press R1 and hold it,
5) when the charge hit, the gun will be fired at that same moment so
6) the charge will cause a biotic explosion, and the fired shot with Incendiary Ammo will have 50% chance of causing an AoE Fire Burst as well, then
7) if that double explosion did not kill all the enemies around you, follow up with a Nova, so
8) there should still be active Reave effect in other enemies in the area so, the Nova will cause another Biotic Explosion, combined with the damage of Nova, the only enemies that should still be alive after this are either Banshees or Atlas, which you should not be charging into if you see them. (should it ever comes to this, charge them to restore your shield and get away)

Reave -> Charge -> Nova is a proven tactic in MP. I added Incendiary Ammo when I thought of SP build, you may have to feedback on me on how well that works.

*there is some debate on Nova Rank 5. the option is half blast or power recharge. you have more survivability with half blast. but Power Recharge effect(Increase recharge speed of all powers by 25% for 15s)stacks, so if you use Nova when there is no enemies around whenever you can(use it once you see your shield auto recharging, which normally takes 3-5 seconds), you can stack up and maintain a 75% bonus to cooldowns at any time. that and couple with 200% cooldown bonus from weapons, your Charge cooldown is less than 1 second. But you may not like the idea if you don't like these glass cannon strategy.

If say we got cerberus harrier I. How do we lvl it up? By buying the recruit pack or p-Spectre pack?
*
For the Harrier, you definitely need to level it up using the Spectre pack or Premium Spectre Pack. Here is how it works

Recruit pack gives you the basic item, Veteran gives you better items, while Spectre pack gives you the best items. while Premium Spectre Pack gives you even more of the best items.

Once you unlock the Harrier(which is an Ultra Rare), you need to buy the Spectre or P-Spectre again, if you unlock Harrier for the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time, it will level up your Harrier each time you unlock it.

There's actually some logic to upgrading weapons.. so stupid of me not to have realised sooner  doh.gif keep on buying recruit packs to upgrade/unlock common weapons and once those have all been upgraded, simply start buying veteran packs to upgrade/unlock uncommon weapons (if you're lucky you may get a rare weapon), after all those are upgraded move to spectre/premium spectre packs for rare/ultra rare weapons e.t.c. All this while i had been buying veteran packs to try to upgrade my mattock but because i had not fully upgraded all of my common weapons, i kept on getting upgrades for those instead doh.gif.. so simple that i feel super stupid sweat.gif
*
it really not that bad, the common weapon unlock in Veteran pack will not occupy the uncommon weapons slot that you are going to get in the veteran pack, like wise, the rare weapon slot in Spectre will not be occupied to common or uncommon weapons.

AFA this weekend so I probably won't be participating in Operation Mastiff, I assume the N7 weapon means the normal Ultra Rare, not those N7 that we get in commendation pack

QUOTE
Operation MASTIFF (June 8th-10th)
We are dropping the new reinforcements onto occupied worlds to supplement resistance movements. Retrieving data of how the Reapers conquered those worlds is of paramount importance.

Allied Goal: Complete 100K  retrieval missions.
Personal Goal: Extraction on Silver difficulty with one squad member of the Rebellion Pack classes: Vorcha, Phoenix Project Defectors, or Quarian Male.
Special Circumstance: None.

Completion of the personal goal awards that player a Commendation Pack.
Completion of the allied goal awards all players a Victory Pack that has a guaranteed N7 weapon.

Operation Mastiff begins at 6pm PST Friday June 8 and ends at 4am PST Monday June 11
Packs will be distributed Tuesday Evening if the mission is successful.

Anyone want to form up the team for Operation Savage this Sunday?

http://social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effec...12662027-1.html

QUOTE
Description:
With so many planets conquered in Council space, we are relying on material support from the Terminus Systems. Eliminating risks to our supply line is a top priority.

Allied Goal: Eliminate 7,000,000 trooper-level enemies: Cerberus Assault Trooper, Husks, Cannibals, Geth Troopers
Squad Goal: Extraction on any difficulty with the squad using a mix of krogan, vorcha, or batarian classes
Special Circumstance: None
Squad Goal Success: Squad awarded a Commendation Pack
Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack

Operation begins at 6pm PST Friday June 22
Operation ends at 5am PST Monday June 25
Reward packs, if successful, will be sent out starting 5pm Tuesday June 26

Quote Chris Priestly:  the player group can only be comprised of krogans, vorcha or batarians. If there are humans, geth or quarians in the group, it will NOT count.

You can have an all vorcha squad or a mix of krogans and batarians or all 3 races, just ONLY those 3 races.
I got all the species and respective classes up there smile.gif
