I have same experienced... they first told me to pay additional hundred bugs... but I insist to pay and I told them that I personally go to jpj to cancel the bank name on the grant.. they charge RM10 only...

I sign my finance agreement yesterday

Loan RM100k
Car HONDA CIVIC 1.8
Rate 2.68%
9 years
Maybank

bank call me and offer me 2.74%, i rejected and mentioned will look into another bank.. then after 1 hours the salesman whatapps me that maybank make new offer at 2.68%. I also mentioned that they can look into my previous ASB loan RM200k track record payment.

in future you supposed to walk in by yourelf and meet the manager for better loan rate. but this rate is from the salesman and he got RM600 from maybank for handling...
