Depend on individual, I will always go to max like 9 years, if you can earn the money higher than the Bank interest, then why not?

Max 9 years not meant you are not qualify, you know what is your financial condition right, don’t need to justify people, you could disagree the statement but I just calculate at your own that is good enough I would say

things i feel that affects loan interest

1. BR / OPR issued by central bank (BNM issue interest hike, everyone's interest will go up_
2. your loan amount (interest will be lower for smaller loan amount, RM 50k loan maybe 3%, RM 200k loan maybe 2.2%)
3. loan duration (too short 2-3 years will probably yield higher interest; 5 years vs 9 years i'm not sure. but i got a feeling 9 years will have very slightly lower interest, because they have the time stacked for them, so slight lower interest will still yield more profit for the bank if one chooses longer tenure)
4. your credit score (i suppose good paymaster and stable income will have lower interest, steady steady can collect interest from you; as for bad paymaster or unsteady income be it new company, own business, or freelancer, they may want more profit from you in advance in case you default in the middle of the loan agreement.)

can correct me if i'm wrong. just my own speculation. i'm not working with/for banks.

Also another thing... I noticed foreign banks dont offer car loans. Is this because of some regulatory matter that I'm not aware of?

Will banker contact me after loan is approved to inform me of the package or banker will only inform salesman?

I submitted applications to 4 banks, out of which 3 shows as "Pending Acceptance by Customer" so I assume they are approved, but none of the banks contacted me yet like in the case of my housing loan. Is this normal?

Bank usually will the one who submit application not car owner who want to apply.
