Sifu, is having a high credit card limit going to affect our car loan application success rate?
*
High credit limit won't affect, but not paying your credit card bills will definitely affect it.

Yes isr25 correct, high limit due to high income or salary. What to worry.

Used car loan financing RM60k X 9yrs = int 3.6% from Hong Leong bank. Do you think this is reasonable?

High Credit limit not a problem but high credit card usage might lower your scoring if your income don't match up. The bank will analyze your total income vs expenditure (other loans commitment including credit card usage etc), the former must be of course more than the latter and the loan will be approved if the percentage is favourable.

Thanks for the information. I am just wondering how the bank will know what is the credit card expenditure, based on CCRIS total outstanding balance?

Flexi loan is about , can reduce the intrest rate while paying more than the monthly installment (eg : shorten the tenure period )

Fixed loan is about to lock in the intrest for the tenure years , have to pay full intrest or may reduce some if earlier settlement

Please correct me if im wrong .

Got offered 3.8% flexi loan from pbb about rm105k x 7years 2016 december .

New car purchased ?

Before this car loan application, do you using any credit card ?

Back to 4 years ago, I have applied car loan with AmBank too, and they didn't mention about this to me

Actually no payment recorded is consider as like "fresh paper", so bank unable to identify whether or not you are in good payment.

Therefore, with payment history with good payment is important when you applying loan (car/Housing)

In my opinion, depending on the terms of the loan, a variable interest rate loan will be better if you decide to pay back more and much earlier than your fixed monthly installment, so that you can save on the total interest payable. On the contrary, a fixed interest rate is better if you intend to just service the normal installment and use whatever extra income to invest in other things that gives you better return in the long run.

Thanks for your input. If the interest rate is lower, I might go for it and take the risk of BLR/BR going up or down since my housing loans are dependent on BLR/BR too.

But I do appreciate more views from all sifus here.
