I was in the dispute corner and noticed how some of the "big" sellers over here are quite rude to their customers. Posted a few comments as well and told the customer to not bow down to them. I told them of the difference between our Malaysian sellers and those who are in the west. The only difference is , the westerners are always polite to their customers. Being rude to 1 is a huge risk of losing their business entirely.
Now that newegg is in Malaysia, lets see who is going to step up their game. A really good news indeed!

competition? oh that one has been long going on within LYN members what.
same goes to Lelong and others..........
but guess what, we who buy online are often enthusiasts and are just a small portion of the entire market.
So before we say Newegg is a COMPETITION, let's see their catalog, price, shipping conditions and warranty policies first.
If come out same / similar to what we already have, then what competition we talking about?
It doesn't have to be a competition in prices only per say. Read my post above . Everyone that i know in the USA who are enthusiasts gets their stuff directly from newegg. Why? Because of the customer service which is next to none. but guess what, we who buy online are often enthusiasts and are just a small portion of the entire market.

Maybe the price is the same, but if the malaysian version of Newegg is anywhere near as good as the one in US, i am sure pricing wouldn't be so high on our list of demands. Customer service is there! The ability to receive support is there. As of this moment, we have been dealing with individual business owners, small store traders. They may close their doors anytime they want and they could also choose to ignore you with your request for support / RMA.
With a major corporation, such situation would definitely improve.
I for one, welcomes newegg wholeheartedly to our land, Malaysia.

As a factory, if Newegg really going to open a branch at Malaysia, definitely they will had the information notified to Principle.
I doubt Factories will allow Newegg to do so by buy stock directly from Factory and over jump the level of distributor.
Why not? They have existing businesses in the USA, Canada and China. Those markets are billion dollar markets. Factories would be dumb to not source directly to newegg. At the end of the day, everyone wants profit. True distributors may have the power, but what if newegg buys most of their hardware in China and stores them in their warehouse in China, and then ships them to their businesses at Canada, USA and Malaysia? The factory is now getting a large order of purchase and do you think they're going to say no? I doubt Factories will allow Newegg to do so by buy stock directly from Factory and over jump the level of distributor.
