I heard people mention Jodi Picoult too.
I personally like James Herriot as my Chicken Soup, if you like animals, try James Herriot. Will warm your toes off Or for more literary choices, Louis de Bernières Captain Correlli's Madolin made me cry and laugh at the same time. (Ignore the movie, IMHO, it wasn't even close to the voice of the book) This post has been edited by Persephone: Feb 15 2012, 02:47 PM |

If you're looking for romance novels, try the Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts.

Broken Soup (Jenny Valentine) is awesome.....supremely touching.
So was The Truth About Forever (Sarah Dessen) Both books deal about death of a family member. |

personally, i only like his one novel, the first of many that i've bought, "man & boy", love it to bits, after that, it went downhill...lol... heart warming eh? these are definitely in my list: the 5 persons you meet in heaven (mitch albom) for one more day (mitch albom) p.s i love you (cecelia ahern) the gift (cecelia ahern) ps: i'm not a chick, but seriously, the 2 mentioned from cecelia ahern is good |
