Can anyone teach me how to use Internet Download Manager to download files from file sharing sites like Mediafire, FileServe, or other sites? Normally a direct download would work, but when download from file sharing site, the browser will download it,, not IDM, anyone can help me?

Then what exactly do you mean by file sharing site?

Pretty much all file-sharing site works on the basis of direct download. Mediafire is direct download.

Do you mean placing the download links on queue and let IDM auto download for you (after waiting period)?

what i mean is that when i want to download from direct link, like download attachment from gmail, then it works in IDM, but then some sites doesnt store the files them selve, they use 3rd part file sharing sites like mediafire or fileserve to store their files, then just paste that link in their website, so when i try to download from there, its not working lo

1 word, you cant. some file server like mediafire can accept download manager, some cant.
if you still download from non download manager supported site, you will only get its index file. something like <insert ant name here>.html

best way is to use something like rapidleech any any similar service

and click the link.

IDM should auto detect the download and takeover the download process from your browser. hmm.gif

Got few option for you.

1. use Mipony. google it urself.

2. IDM only support certain filesharing site if u are free user (not premium/paid). site that allow IDM is like Mediafire, Hotfile, and few other (really few). If u paid the site, then it wont be a problem to use IDM on it.

3. Try this for certain filetype to be automatically downloaded using IDM. go to Option > File Types. Then add IPA there.
