drove my car out last nite, it seems that the noise is still there, but 50% less. will be bringing back for them to 'reshape' the heat shield again or just claim new part.

but at least the source is now known.

50km/h not good one...best is 70-80km/h, that time the cvt will be at the lowest ratio and less wind resistance.

lower than that, the ratio will be higher.

higher than that, u'll be paying to go against wind resistance.

Rear left rattling sound when go over uneven roads.

Characteristic of the sound :

Rattling, metal against metal

Worsened on rough roads, especially in the morning when it is cold, almost disappears when it is on full load.

Reason.

Rear muffler heat shield touching against the body



Solution, bend the corner of the heat shield downwards. This will reduce the sound dramatically, however, on certain very terrible roads, it will still rattle.

Solution from proton : No other solution other than to bend it more cuz mitsu didnt add a bolt there to stabilise it.

Solution from bro, Howiechoo, put sound deadener to prevent it from knocking onto the body.

Cars affected = no idea. even brand new cars have it. dont know why dont know how.

haiz...the heat shield sound is back. anyone know where to buy insuflex with adhesive?

now will claim a new heat shield and see if it helps or not.

if that doesnt work, i plan to put a layer of insuflex on it. apparently in kyjelly forum, someone had this issue earlier.

any things on the sensor? if nothing also,

then bring to proton lo..dont worry, got warranty.
