QUOTE(MrUbikeledek @ Feb 13 2012, 09:38 AM) Gameplay and peer support. After i quit playing WOW, i tried to play other MMO, but all of them feel dull. there are two core type of massively Multiplayer Gamer,1. those who strive for gameplay, these type of people go on and off the same MMO, in which he/she will stop playing when they achieve the patch goal or their personal goal and continue to play when a new patch hit, because they want to get along the storyline. These type of people don"t mind shitty or aging graphic but instead demand for a great storyline or gameplay system or lore. 2. Those who wanted a pretty game, pretty much boring individual who switch between one MMO to another when a newer, better graphical looking game releases... don"t give a fucuk about lore, as long as they can get a pretty /cyber. |

TBH I have yet to come across any game with a better gameplay than WoW (of which suits my playstyle) and yes I have tried a lot of games (paid & non-paid).
But I think I am more type 1 on Yue's post. |

So i was forced to stopped paying for the monthly subscription. Nonebelieve me i play enough MMO and being a beta tester of enough MMO to always come back to WoW, still... rule of thumb when playing free MMO... find one which is casual driven rather than lore driven... because there are no MMO thus far which remotely close in levelling friendly against WoW. some casual driven MMO are mostly korean made; you can try AION if you never play them, their lore is shit but at least the game has become F2P with premium as of recently. |

private server wow it suck. those so call free and China/my/sg base mmorpg . just forget it . once u try wow . u will completely forget abt them there is other games that some say can at least challenge wow . like WARHAMMER ONLINE , AION, RIFT but those games been 'slow down some MIA' after 1-3 years. NOW SWTOR but dont know how long it can survive . |

I think Rift is still alive but much lower subscribers compared to WoW. Rift is actually quite nice as it combines Warhammer Online and WoW
SWTOR so far is fine but since its a new game, the content is quite limited and still need quite some tweaks So far, i think no other games can really compare to WoW in terms of community and both content |

QUOTE(ChcGamer @ Feb 14 2012, 10:02 AM) It is actually nice in its own way. Lots of talent customization and open world PvP i'm not saying it's bad to play, just that this game generates the largest 3-minute fanbois boasting the game content, just to play back wow silentlyEach individual has their own preferences but universally WoW is still the king imma see next gw release to be at worst by combining 'monster hunter' play style with generic mmo button smashing plus generic mmo loot system. everybody can be ninja in the game. imo swtor isn't bad, but i'd tather read sw books than to go questing to understand the story |

I may psycho you to come over WoW TW then And you just have to pay RM18 for 30 hours game time and you get to access full content of WoW up to Cataclysm, and also Mist of Pandaria (future), without paying single cents for the expansion of course!! Let me know if you're interested to play, i can send you Recruit-A-Friend ticket for the 300% exp benefit up to level 81. QUOTE(nagflar @ Feb 13 2012, 03:09 PM) WOW still the best MMORPG out there .. FYI there are some blizzlike WoW private server in the air right now lol, some noticeable competitive arena player plays in those mentioned server. private server wow it suck. those so call free and China/my/sg base mmorpg . just forget it . once u try wow . u will completely forget abt them there is other games that some say can at least challenge wow . like WARHAMMER ONLINE , AION, RIFT but those games been 'slow down some MIA' after 1-3 years. I play both WoW and SWTOR. I have an active account on both.
WoW have a good base content with a good base amount of players. But let's face it, the current deathwing content is pretty much killing the franchise. They maintained a good number of their 'active subscriber' base on sheer influence of D3 promotion they gave out a while back. I myself would've unsubscribed and see how MoP fixes up the problem later on. SWTOR have a slightly better storyline base for PVE (I would say great, but I wouldnt' wanna be accused to be a fanboi). PvP aspect's still being fixed (OP classes being OP in 50, melee classes being kited to death etc), PvE glitches being actively fixed. (I count 2 server patches last week alone). SWTOR have a clean slate. It's being cleaned up, and to be honest, I think it'll turn out great. WoW is nice, but slowly turning into a big mess that blizz's trying frantically to fix up since ICC. If MoP's not gonna be a major reset (which judging by their talent system, is pretty major), I would pretty much give it up to be honest. As for TS's question on good free online game, no, there is none other than a huge time grind that you'll eventually discover you'll have to put in money one way or another just to keep up. There is no 'free' good game out there. Just when you'll pay for it and how. |
