we rode our lack against Norwich and Spurs SAF admitted that. DDG saved us, good defending didn't allow that much of threats to the goal, especially if it came easily like tonight. some chose to only admiring the GK but I choose to question the team's performance why they allowed those.
agree, we just can't play right with 4 wings in the field. So far Evans and Smalling partnership is convincing beside Evans-Ferdinand, if we put aside Vidic.

lol
you highlighted my point 'we rode our luck' then I responded.
you highlighted my point 'DDG saved our ass' and asking 'what does a goal keepers duty for a football team?' do you want me to answer 'Goal keepers duty is to save the goal and made those saves from opponent scoring's effort'? I'll give that answer if you are 6-years old boy, sorry if you really are then I'll leave at that.
if thats the answer to a question thats what its expected, irrelevant of age.so youre all grown up the moment out of the womb ehh...no wonder you know what it means by "luck".cukup hebat, ptt sokong united pun lebat jugak kalah pengurus pasukan.tahniah anda telah membuktikan apa yang dikatakan selama ini.

are we going for full force against Athletic? i hope so.. except maybe for Ferdinand, i want the best XI.

in my book, the game against Wolves are far more important. but we are Man Utd, we used to play for 2 or more competitions in March. so give the best in Europa, i want to win it and win it both..
*
but we never play thursday-sunday/saturday.thats where you get the cold.cl is way way different compared to europa in terms of scheduling and something we havent preped for compared to bilbao whom have been there for past few seasons.after the events of last weekend it was paramount we lost the 1st leg, and its well and truly justified.wont mind seeing the young lads again in spain this Thursday.

and if were going out, let it be on the 90min.pointless going for ET with an away game bearing down on us and with cit£h having the extra 5 days rest before their own league game this will be a calculated ploy.

I think that's just an excuse. As a professional football player/club, they should be prepared to play games whichever day it might be. Sure, managers/players complain about scheduling being biased to 1 club or the other but in the end they still suck it up and play. Blaming the loss to Bilbao on being "cold" is just absurd. We just lost to a better team on the night. I don't think we can blame Europa League being on a Thursday for that one.
*
clearly you misinterpreted my post.anyway its easy for us to say they need to suck up and play.its not the euro's or world cup where you only have a set of grp stages, K.O rounds to play in 6 weeks.its whole long season started off back in Aug 2011 all the way to end of May 2012, multiple competitions, and last but not least result demanding stuff wch you lot go on on on on on on about for every single thing knit picking lots..so go figure if the team feels a bit jaded on certain competition or at a certain level of the season.

every game is important, every competition is important, but when push come to shove wch every team will face at the stage of a season, you make the most of wch you can gamble, wch you can prosper and wch you feel having the priority to go the distance.thats facht~

that bolded part is .....woohooooaaaa. brows.gif aku pun nak tgk jugak every day play competitive game.that way we can have 365 a day season.no more boring summers. drool.gif

i checked our all remaining PL matches, all Sundays or midweek. no more Saturday.

so, argument playing on Thursday /unfamiliar Europa League schedule are no longer valid because we used to play CL on Tuesday /Wednesday then PL on Saturday /Sunday.

there's no different between Wednesday-Saturday, or Thursday-Sunday.. similar rest days.
*
duhh im not highlighting just saturdays doh.gif ...also there is difference.you and i may not know but the team whom actually doing the real playing/travelling knows.with todays advancement in how football is played, matches goes about every single details carries significance.else the gaffer, sports science guys and the fitness coaches wont be highlighting them.if scheduling isnt that important you wont see managers whining up and down the league.

you keep bringing cl, do you know how much planning it goes for those matches??and also why its on a midweek instead of thrusdays/fridays(beside the obvious tv coverage reasons)

here is further proof it does have an effect on how the team goes about in europe:

QUOTE
"I’m going to need to assess our games because we’re maybe finding it difficult to marry the two competitions together, playing Thursdays and Sundays as we do normally with the Champions League," added the manager. "I think we can win the game okay.

22:56 Sir Alex said he needs to assess Chris Smalling's head injury - his stitches from the injury he picked up with England last week came open tonight - before he decides whether or not he rests Rio Ferdinand for the West Brom game ahead of the trip to Spain next Thursday. (GT)

call it excuse or what ever you want but compared to a fan and him the gaffer, i rather believe him since he is the actual one whom sees whats happening, reading the reports on his players then us reading what journo's feed us.

also im not saying thats the sole reason we lost and just to make it CLEAR im not taking anything away from bilbao's great game.we lost and lots of factor comes in to it and this is one of them.

rio and lampard are proud footballers not mercenaries they won't go purely for the money to some mickey mouse league where the stadium is similar in size to Kelana Jaya stadium  tongue.gif

i think the main stumbling block for rio for china will be the strict internet rule they have!!!he cant tweet as freely in england ahahah.nnt pak polis come knock his door. rclxms.gif

side note:nah i dont think rio is finished, he still has years in him and not to mention a job tutoring the kids at carrington.

Torpedo moscow anyone?
