Wrong. You did not take into account his 7th life in your calculation. Your (13-7) assumes that his 7th life was already taken away (which should not be the case as he is currently living his 7th life).

02. Life #08
03. Life #09
04. Life #10
05. Life #11
06. Life #12
07. Life #13

As listed above, he needs to be killed 7 more times. Killing him 6 times would only put him in his 13th life. The 7th kill is to put in the final blow while the earlier 6 kills will be to waste away his NP.

13-7+1 = 7

or

13-6 = 7
