which kernel?

Hi, I'm a new SII user.
- The phone is still unrooted, and its on 2.3.6 version.
- I downloaded z4root software, can I use this software to root this SII? Never try it out yet, takut tak jalan... Or I really have to root it using the given step in page 1?
- Any recommend on the stable rom for this SII?

Ok guys I report back my problem about phone lag that i stated last week.
My phone has 156 hours uptime now. No lag issue occurred again. The pirated apps are the main reason for my problem. Special thanks to 2 people who helped me. One is singapore, I forgot another one.

So, for those idiots who complain about Android super lag, please remove pirated apps first before opening your mouth (kaopeh) or stating the problem at Lowyat forum!

Any solution to reduce the usage of Android OS in I9100G?

To those G users on superrom, is there an ICS theme for it? Because the only ROM I can find for the G is : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1496938

The links on the superrom thread is dead and there hasn't been any development other than his kernel. Also the Darkrom guy says a major update with tons of features is coming up. And superrom isKJ2 while Darkrom is KK1.

What do you G users think? Thinking of giving my G version a custom ROM.

Any idea where to download kk1 for g version firmware other than kies? How to flash it also ah? Not really sure abt g version stuff its for a fren
