Okay, please take me serious here.
Just now, it was the most terrible experience I've ever faced when holding on to the S2. Here it goes, please bare with me.. Scenario: I just installed Street Fighter 4 game, and it can play. So far so good, unfortunately there is a white background, some say to fix it use chainfire and use qualcomm plugins, which I did so.. Still cannot work.. Then after a few hours, I gave up. Then I decided to uninstall the chainfire pro and then I wanted to reinstall it back, so it says need to reboot. Which it did. Suddenly, when it is in the boot logo, my heart skipped a beat. I felt something was wrong already, as it was on the boot logo for quite some time. But little do I except that it was far worst than that. It was not boot loop, but it was just stuck on the S logo for about few minutes. I felt the back cover was getting hotter and hotter as the time passed. Something was amiss. After the wait, it booted up finally.. Phew. But to my horror, guess what.. The android logo appeared, so I thought all the data was wiped off. But when I was about to click on the android logo, suddenly error after error of applications appeared and saying that this app force close, crash.. I click force close and another box appeared as though it was like some kind of virus.. I then tried to press the off button. Cannot.. I get scared. Without hesitation, I immediately pulled out the back cover, remove battery. And when I put back the battery, I think no one in this world would expect what would happen next. Without pressing the on button, the phone just boots by itself. I was shocked, I thought, its funny I did not on the phone yet. Well, disbelieved, I took out the battery again. And now I watched carefully. True enough, the minute I put the battery back immediately the phone boots up to the boot logo.. Well, that was so awkward. Its just no way that would happen.. At this time, I told to myself, I am dead, the S2 is dead, the phone is dead, can't be repaired already. I tried to go into download mode, but no avail. So I sat there with the boot logo stuck. And then I don't know what to do but wait, they say time changes things. But in this case, I doubt. After 10 minutes, I was about to give up already. Suddenly it booted up again, and like expected, all the apps keeps on force close. And to make matters worse, any app I open all force close. The phone is good as dead. Since the phone is alive now, I can now safety and quickly switch off the phone, and thank God now can be booted to download mode, quickly i flashed back the official firmware. Then everything worked, but when it reboot, the same thing happen.. Force close all the apps.. I told to myself that is it,stock firmware still force close. It's time to say goodbye, all because of one app, that caused the damage. It's called Chainfire.. |

Some dude from India in checkrom thread said about an hour to go till the 4 hours time is up, which was posted some time ago, so hopefully under an hour or an hour we can start downloading? This post has been edited by ellimist: Feb 17 2012, 10:14 PM |

Saw the screenies for CRv6, and it looks good until the status bar is pulled down...
Now I wish there is an ICS theme for LA4 and that JKay version |

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Feb 17 2012, 10:22 PM) I like the stuff, just not the colours. Much prefer the ICS theme over the default grey and green one. I started to hate the Samsung colour scheme when I saw even the cheapest Waves when the series was just launched had the same colours. Green and black is not bad, but green and grey is like Rebecca Black |
