Now with CR V6, tried neak kernel, but having the svnet wakelock, drain 60% batt overnite. Then change to Siyah 2.6.12, also got the svnet wakelock. Remember antt00 using Siyah 2.6.7 got no svnet wakelock problem. Any other good kernel with no svnet problem recommend?
*
All kernel i tried will have svnet wakelock (unless you turn on flight mode i think). Just that on siyah 2.6.7 it is not as severe as 2.6.12. 60% batt drain is extreme and i dun think its related to svnet. I am guessing it is some other app draining your batt.

Around 3hours of svnet wakelock.. I think the battery drain mainly from svnet... Check others... All normal..

Added on February 21, 2012, 8:47 am

I leave wifi on.. Normally drain around 5 to 10 % overnite.. Svnet wakelock for almost 3 hours..

Will try siyah 2.6.7 and monitor again..
*
3 hrs is not normal. Try another kernel like siyah 2.6.7 or redpill 1.3.

Hmmm I can get this amount of ram if I restart the phone. My RAM will increase until 450mb after 50hours of uptime. Now the RAM keeps constant at around 500mb ( 210 hours of uptime for now). This should be normal I think? I have 4 page of widgets. Most are original while there are 2 from other apps.
*
My ram usage is similar to yours. Its normal. As long as your phone dun slow down or lag its not an issue. tongue.gif

Thanks. You reply helped me a lot!! smile.gif
I have nearly the same opinion with yours one.

However, I feel strange as there are many people telling me that they have only 300 - 400mb of ram usage only. Why can't I reach it? T.T
*
I get 3++ at boot. Then it normally goes to 400 - 500 and stays there. Try exiting app/games properly.

i heard you need to used different kernel to make MC3 working..
*
I think his problem is that the multiupload link is dead.

Ergh.. if that's the case, I guess I will just have to delete the game then.
*
I deleted that game as well cos i run out of space in my internal SD. tongue.gif Maybe i should look into hacking gameloft games to use the external sd.

Its not so much on the game side, but whether the firmware allows apps2EXT.

Need to partition the extSD into 2 with 1 being EXT3 another being NTFS.
Worth a shot at it.
*
I did ext partition before when on HD2, dun really like it. Dun ask me why its just a feeling. Feels insecure with your data in external sd because for me the external sd is more easily to get damaged or corrupted.

And also removing the ext partition later is not easy.

There is this patch here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...hlight=gameloft
to move gameloft data to external sd. But never tried before and there could be a few games that won't work.

EXT partition removal is easy using console parted, or chuck it into a SD reader to format.
*
Well that did not work on my previous SD card that i formated to add a 1GB ext 4 partition. I gave up after sometime and just let it be.

why ext4?

parted gives u ext2 then u gotta swap it to ext3.
*
It was recommended for operating HD2 android roms. HD2 got very small internal memory and no internal sd.

I know, I have a milestone as well.

But it was recommended to swap to ext3 and not 4.
*
HD2 android roms are mostly ext4. Forgot why already, there was a thread comparing ext 2, 3 and 4 and in the end most favored 4.

No, the ROM itself can be ext4 or YAFFS, but the external SD card, is not relevant to that.

CM7 runs YAFFS but my ext partition is on ext3.
*
I ran CM7 without any ext. The rom was light enough. thumbup.gif

Are you trying it? It seems most of the user here still prefer stable GB. I will probably be waiting for official release before moving to ICS. GB is already fast and smooth for our device.

background data on or off?
