Maybe they didn't announce it at the time but it was unthinkable for it to be P2P considering it's competitors are all F2P.

The newer passes cannot be traded because some people were trading them for games or cash. The new ones can only be gifted IIRC.

i read the trading rules, seems that u will only get tradeable pass if you bought something from steam store and have a good standing account for 30 days. since that i only bought my games thru deimos and talexeh, so have to wait for a month.
