he is paying RM66 and by luck he gets 1024Kbps speed. But now he does not

TmNet has started to cap by accounts , so even your line is uncapped , you speed will drop back to 512kbps/256kbps. No matter your modem shows 8Mbps or 1Mbps

No...its certainly not a risk since u r willing to pay for it....

But , 1Mbps is only at best effort and u would be lucky just to get 800kpbs nowadays doh.gif

probably no risk, except only one risk. The risk of crappy connection by Tmnutz......but then again.....lots of users are complaining about crappy connections day in day out at the ranting thread. So, that's probably the risk that you should be aware off or something like that....

In my opinion, you should wait till they fix their connections problems first and then only upgrade. No use if you're paying them extra, but the connection still sucks right?

I will share my problem regarding upgrading 512 to 1mb package. In my bill already charged RM88 but my modem still received 512. I called 9515 they say my modem capped itself to 512k, wth.. I say i got 4 different modem and all had flushed dns/reset factory dafault, and he still try to say probs come from my side. At last i ask my dad (had small goverment power lol) to see JB tmnet manager and they start to change the misscapped line. Moral here.. they always think of money rather than quality of bussiness. U need to go and go, report and report. Make sure u right before trying to do this.
