I think new nendo is better as I like the stand that plug at their back, paint is better compare old nendo

Old nendo problem I can see are the join is loose, the support is not good (especially those sitting support stand), the head is too heavy so I got problem to let them sit on stand or the chair
Example is my nendo Konata, the hair is extremely heavy and will fall easily when sit on the provided chair...

Anyway Konata is my waifu

yupe get the feeling tht older nendos are too head heavy... eg. my nendo mikuru and tsuruya-san, seems too heavy for the body..

i guess as tech advances it should be better.. however quality could suffer if their just looking at quantity and profit (lowering cost by using lower quality paint n so on, or even poor qc)

however most new releases are of good quality to me...huhu..rare cases of poor qc..

some of the skirt stand are not so bad... some are..

louise is an older nendo reissued rite, hence the skirt stand..

my observation is that nendos with long hair are harder to make the plug stand, which is why the revert back to the skirt stand or magnet stand..

weird thing though is haqua has a plug stand, yozora and homura too..

magnet stand = erio, yami, black gold saw...

skirt stand = most nendos i guess

or maybe gsc just does whatever they like!

kinda prefer skirt stands though. round base, holders which are not obvious, good for display
plug stands usually comes with a square base with many holes on it, and the holder will be very visible, kinda weird when displaying with it, and square base takes up more space

I hate the butt sit stand, since it may scratch or create mark on the nendo leg.

plug will have a hole in the nendo's back, magnet will leave some markings.

5 of my nendoroids have long hair, and they use the plug stands... i think if its blocking the plug they will use skirt stand... louise has cape, fate testarossa too, and erika's hair is not so wavy, so i guess thats y she uses skirt stand too

if u want to, u can remove the base with many holes and just position the plug to balance the nendoroid... most if not all nendoroids can be balanced that way

but then with some slight knocks it will easily topple won't it?
