For me, its down to the essence of the games.

Certain games are never meant to be played on the console even if there is a version for it. Things like shooter games as nothing can beat the precision of using a mouse. Console's version has modifications to it. If you play CoD on the console and PC, you can tell the difference.

Console games cannot do macro managing which requires lots of buttons for games like RTS and MMORPG like what RAMChYLD said.

But the most important thing, console is more of a hassle free way compared to PC where requirements has to be met, etc, etc. Having both, I'll say console is just about whether you like the game you bought or not.

But I still prefer PC as gaming platform as I love RTS games.

But I do like the motion technology for gaming. Very interactive. Not just about button mashing anymore.

So, its hard to say for me. :

No point puting keyboard on a console as developers has to re-program how the games/application function with a keyboard. Not as simple as a PC where drivers take over it. Not to mention remapping the keyboard. Like they say. Want to play using keyboard and mouse, get a PC.

I know. Hence why still back to my original point.
