Yo Guys,

My persona reach age 1 on next month.

Wanna asking something about the road tax renewer.

I plan to renew the insurance at insurance agent nearby my house.
The question is how i gonna renew my road tax ?

My vehicle registration card was still at Public Bank (Main branch at KLCC).
Can i renew the road tax at any public bank branch ?

How much does it cost for service fee ? and how long i can get my new road tax ?

I understand MyEG or some online website has online renew roadtax and delivery to home. But as i know those online renew is not printing the renew record on the vehicle registration card.

Since I every working day got passby public bank branch. Thats why i was asking this.

Anybody experience this b4 ?

Added on February 11, 2012, 2:25 amoh ya, i found out something wired on my persona elegance's temperature meter.

Sometimes when i drive for a period, shut down engine for a while, let say go collect something, then back to the car, insert key and turn to power on.

The temperature meter will immediately point to 90 Celsius. But sometimes, the pointer will slowly slowly point to 90 Celsius when i put in the key, on the power.

is this normal ?

For the temperature, is normal temperature which 80-90 Celsius.

just that i try do testing after drive a while. off and on power few times, most of the time is very fast point to the actual temperature which is 80-90 Celsius (less in 1 sec), sometimes when turn on power it slowly point to the actual temperature (takes about 4 second) haha like the slow and fast erectile you mention.

For temperature showing that is not a problem, but just feel wired how come sometimes fast sometimes slow when i try turn off and on power few times.

No no , i mean is lets say i drive for 1/2 hour, the temperature show 80 Celcius, then i stop the car off engine off power.

Then i do the testing on the spot. Is not after a long period.

Well i understand that, but now the issue is 1st time turn on key fast point to 80c , then i do 2nd or 3rd time test it slow point to 80c , then i do few more time on and off, sometimes fast point sometimes slow point. (All test done while the engine is hot)

If really the pointer got problem i gonna claims asap since i still got warranty. (coz later out of warranty it will cost $$$)

Oh Ya K.Lee , about the bad smell rite. I think i found the solutions.

What i do is send the car for one round nano mist , then throw all the purfume away.
So far, no more masam smell. just some new car smell only.

Maybe you can have a try.

Remember on last post i send my car to Senden authorize A/C they dismantle the dash board kasi wash the cooling coil. then smell gone for a short period (about 1 week) , however, it come back again also (which i kena con RM100)

Last 3 month ago i send to Proton complain about it during service 5K (told them the same problem again and again) at the end one of the i think is SA came out ask me try to throw all perfume away for few month coz his excuse is might be the purfume problem which the smell stick on the cooling coil when come to wet dry it produce bad smell.

So I collect the car that time, they already done nano mist one round (FREE of course). So i went home, throw the perfume out of the car then start drive as usual until now already 3 month, the masam smell no more came out. (My car is park in da house without direct sunlight and quite less drive out)

Sometimes i park the car direct panas sunlight, when start car , it might came out for a while then gone again (or many tiny).

I think you misunderstood, what i mean here is i keep on doing the same on and off test on the spot (Each test is perform after just few second after each test while the engine is still hot), and the problem is the reaction of the pointer and not the temperature. no matter the temperature is dropping or not, the pointer should point on the spot to the actual reading without delay when I on the power. Hmmm maybe i should capture the video and let you all see then you will understand.

maybe will came out surprise.

Boot i think is still not so effective. Better on the handbrake section glove box (coz the cap can close tighter ;D)


Your car still under warranty ? if yes, just told the Proton Edar SC your car bad smelly, maybe they give you free nano mist
( I mean the pure Proton Edar SC and not Authorize SC)

Hahaha eh, dulu i saw a forum Iswara tuang Minyak Masak RM2.50 / Pack...., so far run until now the owner say no problem.
haha wonder that owner got tried on persona or not.

Bingo ! Oh ya, no matter start or not start engine same result

Ic ic , no worries, 10K service will come soon, i will send this issue to proton SA see what he say, tell you the result later.
