Finally a chrome browser for Android phone & tablet... Design for Android 4.0+ only and currently in beta... It's about time we see a full-fledged browser on Android device...

Quote from Google Mobile Blog

QUOTE
Speed With Chrome for Android, you can search, navigate and browse fast—Chrome fast. You can scroll through web pages as quickly as you can flick your finger. When searching, your top search results are loaded in the background as you type so pages appear instantly. And of course, both search and navigation can all be done quickly from the Chrome omnibox.

Simplicity Chrome for Android is designed from the ground up for mobile devices. We reimagined tabs so they fit just as naturally on a small-screen phone as they do on a larger screen tablet. You can flip or swipe between an unlimited number of tabs using intuitive gestures, as if you’re holding a deck of cards in the palm of your hands, each one a new window to the web.

Sign in You can now bring your personalized Chrome experience with you to your Android phone or tablet. If you sign in to Chrome on your Android device, you can:
View open tabs: Access the tabs you left open on your computer (also signed into Chrome)—picking up exactly where you left off.
Get smarter suggestions: If you visit a site often on your computer, you'll also get an autocomplete suggestion for it on your mobile device, so you can spend less time typing.
Sync bookmarks: Conveniently access your favorite sites no matter where you are or which device you’re using.

It's seem the apps not available yet to malaysia market... Anyone on root can try this and report back..?

Using Chrome now to reply this thread. Very nice browser...I think its better than stock. The swipe to cancel tab has nice animation.

Too simplistic I don't like it
Bookmarks unable to be in listing format. No bookmark management features
In its icon format means limited viewing on screen n websites names truncated
Settings with text largest still too small for me

So far it has been nice for me. I really like the swipe to change tab feature. Its really useful for me when im browsing different forums at a time. It syncs with my home PC Chrome, now i have all my bookmarks in here.

or it could be because they needed the API that is available on in ICS to develop Chrome?

anyway, its still very early beta version, its not ready for mass consumers yet, I suppose they might open up to 2.3 in the future if they can.

I like the Chrome concept but it lacks a lot of features. I trust in Google, they surely will improve and add more user-friendly features in incoming versions. Lets keep ourselves updated to the latest release happy.gif

pretty good score IMHO for a first beta release , although i don't see how this can replace the default ICS browser yet.

Its pretty much the same except for some fancy animation for switching tab in a stack.

1 feature i really like is the tab switching by using the swype gesture, have been wishing for that on the default browser for so long !

1 thing that i don't like currently is the permanent address bar, ICS browser implementation on the address bar is much better.

But hey, its a beta. I'm sure it will be much better in future.

It's a beta, it's a first release, and it's already much better than Firefox.

I'd like to see active text reflow and full screen mode in the next release.

Yes!! smile.gif

Stock browser is very smooth. Other browser I've tried are laggy when scrolling/pinch to zoom, like Firefox, Opera, Boat, Dolphin HD,etc.

this + stock ICS browser quick controls (full screen) + text reflow will make this the best browser ever made, if you want something simple yet powerful, especially if you are a desktop Chrome user. Except when you have to view Flash content tongue.gif

sad to say, its probably not gonna happen, its not that Google doesn't want to implement Flash into Chrome, but Adobe is not developing Flash for mobile anymore.

Official quote from Adobe
QUOTE
Today Google introduced Chrome for Android Beta. As we announced last November, Adobe is no longer developing Flash Player for mobile browsers, and thus Chrome for Android Beta does not support Flash content. Flash Player continues to be supported within the current Android browser.

btw, something fun to watch happy.gif

No flash is not a big deal breaker except for those fan of FB games... Most site that show youtube already enable HTML5 embed... LYN should change the code for youtube also... can't view it from Chrome for Android...

I think adobe is making a big mistake for not developing flash for mobile browser...

In other words future webpage design will depend less on flash..
