Just a suggestion. After Proton SC finish their works insist on a test yourself, see if they really solve your kluk kluk noise.

i had installed stainless steel Hotbits 4-1 extractor only, months ago at Speedworks PJ. That extractor was manufactured next door ( sort of) to Speedworks. Whether that uses the same thickness steel as in the Supercircuit designed extractor 4-1, i wont know. Still it is the same mandrel-bent kind.

It was plug n play , costing me RM580, installlation included. I did not want to de-cat, neither to change the muffler as yet until it is broken.

Round that time those mandrel-bending machines at the exhaust manufacturing workshop failed one after another. Now i suppose those machines are already back on.

Back to my extractor, if i were to de-cat later, i will have to buy a 'coupler/adapter' if i want to do like what Rublik did, insisting on the same Hotbits brand all the way . If i want to put a 'bullet' in the mid-section , no need for the coupler.

i also do not know how much power i gain by fixing the extractor. My aim was to simply have an extractor that can scavenge the exhaust gases faster out of the combustion chamber. Simply put, i am another cheapskate!

Yes, absolutely pure plug n play. No welding required! I insisted on seeing the picture of the extractor sent to my email box by Eugene, before going to PJ to have it fixed. He did send me the jpeg photos. You can call Eugene @ Speedworks PJ for verification. Sorry, i no longer keep his handphone number, nor the photo of the extractor as it is serving me fine.

power or torque increase in which rpm band, i can not know as yet. Theory says 4-1 xtractor helps in the high rpm band but lower rpm band kurang sikit. Kennypotatoes, i can not speculate or agak agak only, as that is not smart way in doing technical things. Another thing, i did not change the whole exhaust set-up, so the improvement can only be minimal. The cat-con is a very big power robber. Even if the speed of my exhaust gases may be slightly faster at the xtractor, it still made slow at the cat-con.

No increase in noise from the exhaust system, that i can say. All 4 exhaust outlet manifolds meet at a distance farther than stock, tho not that much. No facility provided by Hotbits to use back the existing stock heat shield on the extractor.

Jackng wanted to do dyno later, i might join him with K3 present. Then we can compare with some other stock 2.0cvt that has no extractor, though my car is not exactly stock, by mod comparison. Still Jackng's car may be 1.8, i am not sure.

K3 has told us many times that further advanced remapping requires doing dyno testing. I am very sure, if i were to dyno tests with K3 present, he can make an educated guess what my extractor has done to my exhaust system performance, even if only minimal.

My only reason to share what i did was to provide knowledge of an alternative to Supercircuit or FGK extractors , which may be much better/cheaper than Hotbits'.

i can not say tomoro, cause will be at COE for suspension noise problem. Proton has indicated may take my car for tests that can go for days. So cannot plan for dyno soon.
