Stock firmware could have been rooted as well. Nothing to worry, KIES is just being picky.

I have a friend who attempted to install ICS onto her i9100G. Something must have gone wrong and it has the Phone -!-> PC sign. She was unable to get into download mode using power+home+vol down combination. Must I get her a JIG now?

I am an EE engineer. I have the resistor. Don't have the microUSB connector. Not planning to cut any original cable for it.
