QUOTE(M3White @ Oct 18 2013, 12:04 PM) Y Hyndai & KIA model similar with VW & Audi? yup undoubtedly you are right...I was made to understand Korean get same designer with VW & Audi, so that their design so attrative. Honda & Toyota didn't design themselves but they out source to designer company to do so. May be bcoz of that, it happened to be the same Anyhow, T & H the designer always emphasis on DNA (T&H) But Altis 2014 look more sexy & it is a waited model i can see civic sales will be ruined by much once the altis is out... and the vios really got the blood and DNA from altis 14 if judge from the outlook |

QUOTE(M3White @ Nov 8 2013, 08:59 PM) Hi Viking Kong, Are you a Toyota SA? Get the fact right before come n tell everything..Aft quite sometimes silent, no sound no pic. As I informed u previously. All New Altis is excellent & Superb, Now u only realised. Anyhow, it is not too late All New Altis ll be lauched soon, expected Jan 2014 bcoz current Altis clearance with off RM12K (dealer & Toyota) I wish to make correction from your info Current Altis price 1.8E RM115K off 12k = RM103K 1.8G RM125K off 12k = RM113K 2.0V RM132K off 12k = RM121K For All New Altis, the price unconfirm yet, bcoz Gov ll announce new NAP (National Automobile Plan). Assuming no ammendment in NAP, the All New Altis ll be 1.8E RM118K 1.8G RM128K 2.0V RM135K There is no such of 2.0G, unless u buy 1.8G & change the sticker to 2.0 & remain G at the back Anyway, once All New Altis launched, Gen9 will offered big, big Rebate or DIE Honda Gen 9.5 also ready to launch once all new Altis kick their ass whatever new civic launch, as long as it is Gen 9 or 9.5, it is not well accepted in western, US. India & China... even Japan people also cant accept low grade material & ugly design (front City & Rear Persona) Jangan Marah Lyn forumer can't accept mislead information bro... Cheers! |

QUOTE(M3White @ Nov 12 2013, 02:23 PM) This is repaint Civic cost RM7K++ woots... how much you spend on the paint job? mind to share the location? btw, the 'white orchid pearl' offered only for civic hybrid really damn chun la It took abt 3 mths to repaint They took out pieces by pieces like factory Better quality compare to original paint Very senior citizen with great experince Most of the expensive car, including Istana' car civic either fb or fd2 is still same beauty... i wouldn't bash the FB but it has become more to a family sedan and improvement has been made from a different aspect... FD2 looks better? ya, is only looks better... performance wise, both have pros and cons... comfort wise, FB wins hand down... my family member own an FD2, now i'm think of getting a FB... as for mazda 3, i guess this car will selling hot in malaysia and there will be a serious shortage due to CBU... and most importantly, the look |

QUOTE(M3White @ Nov 11 2013, 11:05 AM) Traditional primitive marketing strategy why looks so different with the paultan picture?Deposit Now & Jan 2014 before CNY get the car Say RM2,000 x30 pax, SA ll get RM60,000 & deposited in FD with 3.2% return Tiba-tiba, Toyata said, Feb 2014 launch..... anyhow, no worry Toyota ll bring the prototype before Xmas bcoz current Altis cleared For marketing strategy, by CNY customers ll managed to get all new altis to show off 1.8E 2.0E (not G), naked spec 2.0V mid 2014 they ll lauched 1.8G 2.0G Civic SI ll be in Msia soon but I dont like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhAbohFrZ6w hell... i can't accept this look question: is it written AURIS at the door? QUOTE(viking kong @ Nov 16 2013, 10:26 PM) Civic not from malacca. Thai la bro. i'm considering getting 1.8...If Thai produce new civic FL then msia we get oso. If u search on thai website, there's no concrete indicator that thai will produce new civic FL. Dont worry, new altis still cannot beat civic fb. The best new altis only available for 2.0V model with 137k tag price. Expensive. Other altis model...so call empty car. If u want 1.8, civic and altis same price with same empty car. Go for altis la..spacious and ada rupa. so is better to get 2.0 or hybrid? which one u get bro viking kong ? This post has been edited by geek8585: Nov 17 2013, 12:07 AM |

QUOTE(viking kong @ Nov 17 2013, 12:47 AM) For time being, 2.0 is a wise choice. r u an fb owner? I rather buy 2014 honda city high spec or proton preve than civic 1.8. i'm considering hybrid or 1.8 only... i do notice hybrid spec is much better than 1.8... but i just have a few concern: 1) hybrid technology is still immature and maintenance cost for hybrid car is definitely higher 2) civic hybrid is using brake drum for the rear wheel, while 1.8 is using brake disc for the rear 3) i don't like the blueish design for the front n rear lamp 4) 15' rim vs 16' rim (prefer 16' and i dont plan to change rim) 5) consider the traffic condition in kl, when the car is fully stop, engine will cut off... when the traffic start to move in the next second, leg lift from the brake pedal and engine restart again... engine wear and tear is still my biggest concern... test drive on a hybrid unit, the restart of the engine will cause a slight vibration in the cabin which i don't really used to and why i don't choose 2.0? 1) budget concern... it just can't persuade me fork another extra 16k... 2) FC concern... family have an FD2 2.0 currently, it is rather scary for me in compare to other 1.8 car like altis hmm hmm hmm This post has been edited by geek8585: Nov 17 2013, 01:33 AM |

QUOTE(viking kong @ Nov 17 2013, 09:59 AM) Geek8585, about NAP, just my wild guess... there might be a price adjustment on hybrid car above 2.0c, tax exemption will be abolished... while the common hybrid cars with smaller cc such as civic and prius, i can smell our gov waiting for a long time to hike up the tax... guess it will hike up by a little bit this time.. as for petrol car, most or less the same la... (still not expensive enough? I'm not a fb or fd owner. Hehe. maybe just like u. I plan to buy a civic after NAP announce. I already consider 1.8,hybrid,2.0 before tis. 1.8 115k tag price is ok if Honda include all accesories. Do u want to spend 115k for empty car? Agree with u on hybrid. Price tag is ok. Features on par with 2.0 but we need consider other bad point on hybrid. As i said before, if ur budget for 1.8, maybe u can consider 2014 altis 1.8 or other car below 100k with full accesories. Just my opinion. you got the point but i won't go for toyota due to safety features only applies on the 2.0V model... well, we shall see the final words from UMW this time... but very unlikely UMW will include will those features like VSC/traction control etc... if you plan to get an hybrid, i would suggest to get it now... because after NAP announced, the tax will either remain the same or hike up... it wont get any subsidizing... p/s: disclaimer here... (all guess above were just my 2cents... i source all this out from my logical reasoning... i could be wrong This post has been edited by geek8585: Nov 17 2013, 02:28 PM |

think at the wise side, do you want to get something most advance and slightly high tech, reliability might be an issue depends on how they developed it and applied on real life... or stick to the oldies technology just because this foreman know how to repair it and proven reliable bla bla bla...
if consumer have this kind of mind set, they will get to choose what they want... |

QUOTE(M3White @ Dec 6 2013, 11:11 AM) Yes u are right Bro, nice sharing bro... H & T very good in resell. Last 07/2011 my bro he bought Altis RM132K (took out discount & insurance RM6k) RM126K Done 33,000km & last week he sold RM91K (still in the process Puspakom) 126k-91K = RM35K/30 mths (RM1,166) My friend bought Mazda 3 (RM120K) excluding insurance, sold 10/2012 at RM80K RM120K-RM80K = RM40/18 = RM2,200 Actually I wanted to wait for fresh Gen 9 (FB) bcoz Gen 8 (launched end 2005), many years When Thailand launched (I shock to see City Head & Persona Tail), I then decided to get Gen 8 FL At that moment Sept 2012, many people still place an order for Gen 8 FL Culturally, end of life cycle should be huge discount (like CRV RM13K off, Altis RM12K off) Gen 8 FL, 0 discount In fact we are Not sure can get it or not bcoz many people still asking for Gen8 (due to Thailand website of Gen 9) I drive Gen8FL for about a year (done, below 19,000km) Everytime I send to SC, many Honda staffs, including SA was offering to buy According to SA, the demands for Gen8FL is very hot & hard to sell FB (failure in demands) Sorry, not intent to insult FB users, but this is what happened According to SA & many of my friends, Gen 8 very successful in design bcoz very long life cycle (2005-2012) 7 years in the market without changing the model (structure) & yet new FB also cant win people heart. The demands for Gen 9 still great (never happened in the human history, except Saga 1985-2005 (20 years) or Wira 1992-2008 (16 years) but that is a national targeted lower end for those has got no choice). Honestly, I never put HONDA in my heart or in my head (hahaha) I really don't like this brand of H bcoz of many reasons. In Japan, many of Japanese appreciating Toyota & proud of T (many reasons) I normally ll buy a car with a fresh design, not end of life cycle but it happened TERBALIK.... What should I say is, I always lie to myself that FD is ugly No matter how ugly I say to myself & my friends, lie is lie & always lies Finally the reality is I ending with owning Honda Civic Gen 9 I really like the design even though it is expired design I like the performance of 2.0 iVtec with Twin Cam Lower position, when I inside the car, people can't see me easilly from out side But when u talk about Comfort, I don't really feel that Comfort compared to Altis I experience once as Vios 2010 passanger, suprisingly I feel the comfort even though that is B segment I dont really feel that i my FD, C segment Now I am thinking to convert to type R or Mugen RR Acc shop told me, the advantage of Gen 8 is a transformer, can chance to Type R or Mugen RR with a budget abt RM2K (RM2K can make a new toy from out side) but FB cannotlah.... dissadvantage Now I say to myself, may be this is the 1st & the last I drive Honda Next round should switch back to T brand for comfort & better design (affordable price) Even though Mazda 3 skyactiv is my lover but worry about resell May be if I am rich enough, I get C200 lah..... but do some flashback, my own family owning a civic FD2 2.0 and i'm waiting for the civic FB hybrid... the FD was bought on 2006, let me remind you... how hard is honda try to persuade ppl that FD2 is good looking... when i ask my mom to buy the FD2 at 2006, my whole family simply can't accept the rear lamp... and saying the front lamp a bit like peanut... same goes to me... the looks of FD2 in 2006 really quite different when compare to 2006 same segment cars... but slowly, more n more youngsters getting this car and ppl start to accept it... i don't know what's going wrong in FB, but IMO... it is a step up from honda... i can see the effort that honda put in to make this car become a family sedan rather than a sport sedan... FB is definitely more comfort but handling lose to FD2 by not much... you just can't have the best from both world... and yet, the front of civic claimed to be looks like city, because city is already few years on the road, and it makes the FB looks identical to it especially the front grill... i have no comment on it but i think the car is there for a reason and the longer i look at the car from front to rear... the more i think it is acceptable... guess what? my dad n mom say FB is better looking than FD2... i was stunned... so u get my point what honda is trying to do? just my RM0.02... |
