hi guys, got my car 1.8 last saturday silver, so far so good. anyone could update the fuel consumption for 1.8. It showing 8.5km/l as just completed my 185km ODO
my SA provide few hundred discount, full tank, umbrealla and carpet. delivery within a week after issued balance of payment by cheque.
immediately got my 3M crystalline series tinted with 1.7k, but the authorized dealer told me they will keep the warranty card and anything come back to them, is that normal?
Which showroom did you get your car from? That's pretty fast in terms of delivery but discount-wise I have heard better offers elsewhere.
As for the tint, probably the cheapest so far for 3M Crystalline. Which 3M branch in this? But keeping the warranty card for you is very dodgy and I don't recommend it. They may be selling you other tints but claiming to be 3M Crystalline. I have heard of such cases before.
GY NCT5 are crap tyres. Damn noisy and poor road grip. If you claim your car is quiet, then its because of NVH. Not the tyres. Change the tyres if you value safety. U can exchange for almost zero cost or just pay a small amount for Continental CC5. Much better tyres, good wet grip and more quiet than the NCT5.
Can vouch for this based on past experience. Being noisy is one thing, but the wet grip is practically non-existent! Can't count how many times I've been subjected to unintentional drifting whenever the road is wet. Shame on Honda for putting such unsafe tyres on their cars.
so thats another thing that hybrid has and our 2.0 doesnt. u can lock it manually with that little button on the driver side. and it will unlock itself when u open the door without having to push that unlock button (from inside of course)
I take it this is suppose to be a feature of the car? I don't think this is present in the FD model.
haha. come on. be fair. some people dont know this. i am merely state the car has this.
Lol I was really enquiring bro because the 8th Gen don't have this function. If it's really an intended feature then I suppose there's no harm unlocking the doors from the inside without pressing the button.
Wind noise remains to be a problem along the B pillars.
I could hear excessive wind noise coming from the driver's side around the top of the window's seal. Very annoying and noticeable even if I turn up the volume for the radio.
Strange. The wind noise starts getting very loud once the speed goes above 90km/h just on the driver's side windows. No such issue from the passenger side.
Yeah.. agree that try to locate the exact location of the source is the tough part. But to my surprise, not all civics are having this problem based of the feedback givens here. Which means this is not really a design flaw but more like an assemble/fitting issue?
Really hope the wind noise issue can be fixed, as it's very irritating for driving experience.
If it affects more than one car, it's definitely an assembly/part issue already. I think the problem lies with the seal at the upper part of the driver's side window. If you would to open the windows slightly when the noise is there, you will notice the noise is changing. It's as if the windows is not sealed tightly. Perhaps you could check and confirm this.
Further, the noise is only apparent when you drive above 90-100km/h, so it may be not apparent to most people yet since I suspect everyone is still breaking in their cars and keeping their speed low.
I agree the noise is really spoiling the experience of driving the car. Are you certain that Honda Malaysia is aware of this issue? Are they coming out with a fix?
I noticed a very obvious idle vibration coming from the car. I can feel the vibration on the driver's seat (especially the head rest), the driver's side door panel and even the middle arm rest.
It's always there no matter whether the engine was warmed up or not, gear in "P" or "N", air-con on or off. I compared it with a 5 years old Civic 8th Gen and the vibration was worst off in my 1-month old 9th Gen.
no such issues... so far satisfied with the engine noise level... very quiet
Bro, was talking about the idle vibration not noise level Noise-wise the engine is definitely not noisy but once you have started the engine, I can feel the parts mentioned above "shaking" when the car is stationary.
Every time I start the car, I noticed there's a "Click-Clack" sound coming from around the glove box. It happens as soon as the engine is being started.

Did any of you get it?
Ok, I manage to record the sound on video, this may give you guys a better idea. Check out the clicking sound at the 12-second mark.
