QUOTE(tleilaxu @ Aug 26 2012, 09:26 PM) noticed that the current civic doesnt comes with speed lock...was told msian government instructed honda to remove this feature due safety...was quoted rm320 to install it. Bro, Are you trying to refer to the door auto lock function which is activated when driving at certain speed? |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 27 2012, 11:12 AM) Really? Then my car must be then unsafe then because it autolock at a certain speed lol... I too think it's a crap answer.. but didn't comment further as it wasn't my first time I hear such answer from an SA thinking there might be some truth in the statement.Added on August 27, 2012, 11:13 am You better tell that SA to tell his customers cows can fly also. I'm sure people will believe it. LOL |

QUOTE(kc_lim @ Aug 31 2012, 12:53 PM) Anyone knows what is the difference between D mode and S mode for 2.0 Civic? That's intended. When shift from D to S u need to activate the so called full paddle shifting mode by either up shift or down shift once with the paddle shifters.Paddle shift still functional in D mode but it's temporary shifting whereas S mode is fully paddle shift mode.....But, if u move from D to S and dun utilise paddle shift, the gear still change like how it does in D mode.... Confused |

That's is just a temporary over ride.. e.g. down shift for you to over take cars. After like few seconds it'll return to auto like usual.

QUOTE(mokhzaini @ Aug 31 2012, 08:51 PM) when u engage S mode without physically activate the paddle, it still shift up itself but only to the third gear. But bro, my city doesn't shift up or down wor if I change from D to S...hmmmand it will shift to fourth only at 140kmh. just like city. god knows what speed it is when it engages the final gear. the other function many dont know - quite sure about it - is the cruise control cannot engaged at speed below 42kmh. u will need 42 kmh atleast to use that cruise control function. i love these little facts. if, and i say if, we ever go big TT, we should be having quiz session among ourselves and surely i am going to ask these little facts! |
