Not difficult to change the HID color at all. The default should be 4300k in color, just go look for the xenon bulbs that's 6k (pure white). I don't recommend 8k or above but if you really want to do it, 8k should really be the limit because the shade of blue start making it hard to see in pitch dark road. These are the 2 nicer colors from Phillips. But these bulbs may or may not be available to your car bulb size so you need to check either with the accessory store or check the headlamp yourself. http://www.lighting.philips.com.my/v2/auto...ltimate%20lighthttp://www.lighting.philips.com.my/v2/auto...imate%20light#0

QUOTE(silver_civic @ Sep 9 2012, 09:06 AM) If hid light is yellow, will we see any difference with halogen light? Sorry for noob question :-p Got, because upon start up, the light will look brilliant white and gradually turn yellowish hue in color (< 1 min). Also the light is brighter, illuminates further and cuts off better. The SA told me 2.0s version Civic is using HID for normal beam and halogens for high-beam

QUOTE(donbulime @ Sep 9 2012, 01:11 PM) Thx . The HID Lights high beam and Low bean are separated ... which mean have to change 4 bulbs ... LOL Added on September 9, 2012, 1:23 pmThis is why i found it funny . 2.0 and 2.0Navi are almost the same except the NAVI part but no import Wallpaper function in 2.0Navi . You can check manually. The HID should only be for low beams, so meaning you only change 2 bulbs. The SA told me high beam is still strictly halogens. He could be wrong, maybe you can check to confirm if the high beam is really halogen or HID.

QUOTE(kc_lim @ Sep 10 2012, 10:55 AM) Sure? Dun mind spending RM240 for the visor if they help.... Regarding Philips CV 4300K, will upload pic soon.... As for Modulo, ordered on the 1st day, but till now not yet arrive....gonna cancel it n seek for aftermarket, but will get the painted grille and trunk spoiler anyway..... My old Altis has door visors installed by default and it gives off an irritating whistling sound off the edges at high speeds. Maybe it's the door visors design, I don't know but I really don't want to have those installed only to experience it again.

QUOTE(kc_lim @ Sep 11 2012, 10:45 AM) I'm satisfied wiv this, coz too whitish, it hurts other drivers' eyes......U will know how it feels when someone using illegal street HID >6000K on ur tail....... but u can try to use Philips DV 5000K, if u like......or some other brands Nah, I won't really bother changing the lights at all. I'm quite satisfied with how the halogens perform with the projectors. After all, we only use the Civic for quick runabouts now, unless got more passengers then we'll just switch over to the Passat. But I still like how the colors of your bulbs look, it's more conformed now.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Sep 11 2012, 03:50 PM) Well i havent sat in the Hybrid but surely wasnt impressed with the 1.8 and 2.0. Interior plastics were really crappy. But seats were fine. Havent test drove yet but im sure Civic will be more refined. With the new Civic, I'm actually pleasantly surprised but how well the car drives. Sure, the Passat is more refined and has better power but the Civic really feels good around the corner and the NA engine surprisingly provides decent pickup. Aside from the obvious wind noise at higher speeds, the car feels surprisingly planted even in wet conditions. As a 2nd car (1.8s), there's little to fault it for what it is and designed to do. As a main car, it could really use some better quality finishing and features. If they could price this lower, I think it would be a more decent value against its other Japanese rivals.

QUOTE(yayiyu99 @ Sep 12 2012, 11:13 AM) I have Honda Civic 2.0 8th Gen for almost 5 years already. Thinking of selling it to buy the new Ford Focus 2.0. Lot of my friends already wanted to buy my car. I think it's a good choice. It's got a lot of nice toys and Ford engines are no slouch either especially if it's paired to a powershift gearbox. The only question is do you like the styling or the size of the car. Service centers aren't as widespread as Honda either so it might be a bit of a problem if you don't live within the Klang Valley.

QUOTE(romuluz777 @ Sep 13 2012, 01:50 PM) No offense guys, but I would not consider a transition from an 8th Gen Civic FD to 9th Gen FB Civic as an upgrade as both are the same make & model of car. Its more of a parallel transition. On the other hand, if you were to trade the FD for a F30 328i, that's an upgrade for sure Hmmm, yeah I'd agree with your view on that. But if its a Civic FD to the new Ford Focus, I would say it's also an upgrade (brand) even though if it's a very small leap.

QUOTE(alexio82 @ Sep 18 2012, 09:38 PM) I have one question... My sa n his 2nd car dealer have evaluated my current car during booking of new car and we agreed on a certain amount of money. For the time being, i get to keep my car until new car arrives. When time comes to hand over old car, assuming same conditions during evaluation time and for whatever reasons the dealer decide to pay less than what has been previously agreed. Can I still cancel the purchase of the new car? 2nd hand dealer price is usually only valid for 2 weeks unless your SA verbally agree to hold the sell off pricing when it's time to turn in your car. This was the case for me, because of the delay with our bank loan, we only sold off our 5 year old Honda City nearly 1/1/2 months after the dealer looked at the car which is after the date of validity but because our SA agreed to hold the value until the day we trade in the car, we have no problems with the value of the trade in.

QUOTE(alexio82 @ Sep 19 2012, 06:23 PM) Yes we did come to agreement on the price and the price is to remain until new car arrives. My question is, can i cancel the order due to his breaches of promise?? That is of coz he give me a valid reason. You can if you have not signed any loan agreement. If you placed a deposit, it might take longer to get it back, but otherwise I don't see why you can't cancel your order. If he don't allow it, just go see his manager.

QUOTE(llsaw @ Oct 7 2012, 04:06 PM) Write up on my wife's 2.0S New Ride Nice but CR70 is too visible IMO. I did CR50 for my wife's car but that's only because CR40 wasn't available. The insides aren't dark at all even though it appears dark on the outside and that's the best part about it.

QUOTE(Glau @ Oct 11 2012, 09:47 PM) i love my civic...but when it rains...the sound of the roof..DAMN loud!!! aiyoh like tin milo..hehe. i had a polo before this and let me tell you..it is so silent in the polo. Japanese cars are notorious when it comes to roof soundproofing. Doesn't matter if its an Altis or Civic, the roof will sound like a milo tin unless you do some work to it

QUOTE(Black Katana @ Oct 24 2012, 11:33 AM) Hi guys, I will be getting my 1.8 soon. Decided to take the 1.8 in the end. My SA is recommending that I install a Flyaudio unit with reverse camera etc. Priced around RM3,000 plus. A bit cautious to dismantle the original CD player but the Flyaudio unit looks pretty nice. And it comes with papgo navigation system too. Anyone has any information on this? Good? Bad? Stay away? Also, he is recommending that I install a gear shift lock for about RM650. It would involve dismantling the part which is near the auto gear box. Thirdly, has anyone installed the auto-lock on their 1.8? How much would it cost? Fourthly, door visors...good or bad idea? SA throwing it in ... read that it would reduce wind noise but also read it would add to wind noise. A bit confused! Anyone has experience on this? Thanks in advance guys!
