This is repaint Civic cost RM7K++
It took abt 3 mths to repaint
They took out pieces by pieces like factory
Better quality compare to original paint
Very senior citizen with great experince
Most of the expensive car, including Istana' car
*
No need to repaint la bro. Since you have an extra 7k, better u sell ur fd then by fb.
U look smart with smart entry system on fb la bro. seriously.
You can saving up to 7k petrol with sohc configuration but it's take time la bro.
Then repaint your fb. Fuh...tip top drool.gif

Nobody can confirm whether 2014 civic will be lauched here.
For current msia spec, better go for 2.0 instead of 1.8.
1.8 consider empty car. No features. With additional 16k, u got 2.0 engine, smart entry system, push start button, paddle shift, leather seat, side mirror signal, 4 airbag and many more.

17' inch with Mechellin tyre too, hehehe
Most of the people knew new FL ll be launch in Msia but no one know when ll they launch.
My personal opinion (don;t blame me if I make mistake):
Altis cleared now & CBU Altis can be available at anytime but now year is abt to end,
UMW may be plan to launch all new Altis in Jan 2014 (all new)

Honda Civic not all new, if they launched now, surely kick by All New Altis
So they ll launched once aft All New Altis.

By logic, once they lauched FL (FB2), current FB1 ll be cleared too
If u buy now, u ll get (Front City & Rear Persona)
but if u wait for FB2 u ll get sporty face, people ll knew that is Civic, instead of saying City
Rear, it is unlike Persona......

If I were u
I ll view Mazda 3 sedan 2.0
It is CBU Japan (Civic still Melaka)
Skyactiv is a fesh technology...... Save FC & powerful engine
Build up, Japan quality

Finally, just wait lah
*
Civic not from malacca. Thai la bro.
If Thai produce new civic FL then msia we get oso. If u search on thai website, there's no concrete indicator that thai will produce new civic FL.
Dont worry, new altis still cannot beat civic fb. The best new altis only available for 2.0V model with 137k tag price. Expensive. Other altis model...so call empty car.
If u want 1.8, civic and altis same price with same empty car. Go for altis la..spacious and ada rupa.

For time being, 2.0 is a wise choice.
I rather buy 2014 honda city high spec or proton preve than civic 1.8.

Geek8585,
I'm not a fb or fd owner. Hehe. maybe just like u.
I plan to buy a civic after NAP announce.
I already consider 1.8,hybrid,2.0 before tis.
1.8 115k tag price is ok if Honda include all accesories. Do u want to spend 115k for empty car?
Agree with u on hybrid. Price tag is ok. Features on par with 2.0 but we need consider other bad point on hybrid.
As i said before, if ur budget for 1.8, maybe u can consider 2014 altis 1.8 or other car below 100k with full accesories. Just my opinion.

Aft NAP announcement?
are u dreaming?
Step ur foots on the ground, face the reality

NAP announcement?
shd be before GE13, postpone to Budget Oct, again Nov & now Jan 2014

Tax is revenue
tax down & another tax ll be impose

If NAP reduced tax
Used car ll go bankrupt & they ll not pay to bank
again bank shut down......

So, we all in the confort zone,
no need NAP
Happy buy, not happy Public transport always available for u

UMW, Honda, VW, Hyndai and many more companies with 1 same owner
DRB

Rileks brader, brader rileks. That I said NAP will reduce tax? Please quote my statement.
I want to buy a car after NAP. That all. I just want to know msia car policy within 5years. Just want to secure my purchase.
Yes. Civic from melaka. Haha

Aiya...last time M3WHITE says, he have an expert honda friend at SC that said 'FD more powerful than FB'.
Cannot help?
Actually, your problem hard to explain. Ofcoz, SC can connect the ECU that indicate the problem. But how if ECU indicate your car is ok?
To get better fuel efficiency, most hondas have been equipped with ECU PGMFI -Programmable FI. This system is different with other manufacture. PGMFI also have in honda motobike as well. As Honda Cbr user, i know how the system working.
In PGMFI, there some function called DFCO - Decel Fuel Cut Off. Act, when braking the car approching traffic light(example) at certain RPM, the engine shut down. No spark and ignite at this moment in engine combustion while your pistons are still moving. Once your car completely stop, then engine will ignite again.
This is brilliant design from Honda for fuel saving but unlucky u may have the defect ecu. Maybe.
Not sure, whether M3White's expert friend(SC) knew about this.

Disclaimer, this is my opinion. Could be wrong.

btw, is toyota much more better and reliable than honda ka mr Viking Kong? tongue.gif

Subjective. 2-2 ok.
Comfort- toyota
Handling - honda

For current model, i dont think honda can provide best handling. Look at new accord. No double wishbone anymore. Only independent multilink. sad.

Another possibility is the faulty sensor. There a lot of sensors that connected to the ecu.
I have experience with my motorbike before.
Common for motobike, if ur bike fall during engine on, the engine automatically off to prevent fire. This is for safety reason. There is a lean angle sensor that send the info to ecu in milisecond.
Unlucky, that sensor got problem thus sent wrong info to ecu. Ecu assume my bike was fall and cut off the engine.
After change the sensor, everything back to normal.

As usual, M3white will bashing civic fb. hahaha.

QUOTE(M3White @ Dec 4 2013, 12:28 AM)
Honda
Previously great in Design but now ugly, mostly at all
FB (facelist 2014) vs Altis 2014 (Honda kalah teruk)

Dual VVTi + Twin Cam (Better performance) but iVTec (single cam with eco mode performance like myvi)
Old man design
backward technology (twin cam to single cam)
Spacious boot & legroom in FD but no more in FB
Low end plastic material in FB
Please dont simply say civic 'kalah teruk'. Polite if you just say altis 2014 is more beauty than civic fb (with your eyes). Look like u are fb most haters. I dont know y? icon_question.gif
Ivtec like Myvi? I think you already knew that FB torque&hp more powerful than FD. Please dont compare sohc 2012 technology with Dohc 2004 techology ya.
Check my previous posted, cabin wise - FB more spacious than FD. It's fact. 'Man maximum, Machine minimum'- Honda philosophy for current model. Same goes for new accord, exterior dimension is less than it predecessor but more roomier than it predecessor. 'Man maximum, Machine minimum'
I still dont understand why u say FB come with low end material? Everybody know, look cheap and low end material is FD then FB it slightly better (improvement) but still not good.

QUOTE(M3White @ Dec 6 2013, 01:24 AM)
Later on, Honda Msia launched Civic Gen 8 (end 2005)
I dont buy bcoz it is Honda
End 2009 again new FL
I started to follow up on this model until 2012, I heard All new ll be in Msia
So, I was waiting for new FB
Until get to know Thailand launched FB
I read many news on failure, recall of FB
Finally, as conclusion, FB
1) Ugly look (front City & rear Persona)
2) Very tall (sport car always low)
3) cheap deskboard (low material)
4) small boot like city
5) rear passanger (small size) always knock th head to enter
6) Single cam

When i hear your story on the problem, I don't feel shock
FB recall in many countries like US, shut down plant in India
Mostly Civic fan ll be waiting for Gen 10 to launch as Gen 9 many issue

I finally bought last unit of Gen 8 FL on 2012, hehehe
resll is good but Handling can't compete with mazda
Comfort can't compete with Altis
but design of Gen8 FL is great, that is the reason i buy
As FB haters, I understand. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(M3White @ Dec 6 2013, 11:11 AM)
Actually I wanted to wait for fresh Gen 9 (FB) bcoz Gen 8 (launched end 2005), many years
When Thailand launched (I shock to see City Head & Persona Tail), I then decided to get Gen 8 FL
At that moment Sept 2012, many people still place an order for Gen 8 FL
Culturally, end of life cycle should be huge discount (like CRV RM13K off, Altis RM12K off)
Gen 8 FL, 0 discount
In fact we are Not sure can get it or not bcoz many people still asking for Gen8 (due to Thailand website of Gen 9)

I drive Gen8FL for about a year (done, below 19,000km)
Everytime I send to SC, many Honda staffs, including SA was offering to buy
According to SA, the demands for Gen8FL is very hot & hard to sell FB (failure in demands)
Sorry, not intent to insult FB users, but this is what happened
Are you joking?

Hehe..
Did I say FD boot smaller than FB? Take it easy bro.
Fact from Official Honda, civic FB cabin slightly bigger than FD. Why compare with kancil?
We have to admit, FB is better than FD. Soon, gen 10 is better than FB.
Smile bro.
