AVB has said it. he has no power in the dressing room.
its another scolari in the making
*
+1..this is what I feared too.. but nevertheless, he has different scenario compared to scolari~ AvB is meant to mould a new, younger , competitive team to last in the long-run, so yea, he will be around..unless bigboss Mourinho comes knocking on Stamford Bridge's door.. hehehe =)

But Chelsea at the moment sure don't seem like a team capable of thrashing MU... unless of course one of their man got sent off... no offense here but you need to score a lot and playing Torres as lone striker while wanting to thrash MU is two things from different world
*
You expect Arsenal v Blackburn scoreline? LoL laugh.gif

Here's how we line-up today:

Cech ©, Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Bosingwa, Essien, Meireles, Malouda, Sturridge, Torres, Mata

Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Hutchinson, Bertrand, Romeu, Piazon, Lukaku

From CFC Facebook page... so.. Malouda.. LoL

Well its a good game for me, with disappointing results, cant blame the ref tho. Sometimes u got it ur way sometimes dont. Cahill + luiz partnership looked fairly good n he almost scored with that long range effort.
*
yeap, his long-range effort ..perfect if the ball went in happy.gif
IMO, sturridge loss confidence after he 'fouled' Evra.. kinda loss his mood when he 'gave' ManU the first penalty.. should have subbed him earlier for Lukaku~

Was really impressed at the start of the second half when Torres and Mata looking at each other before the whistle start the game, and before you know it.. goal.. that was definitely brilliant thumbup.gif

He hoped to preserve the lead by subbing studge with more defensive minded player (i.e. oreo) but the plan backfired eh.
*
IMO, he subbed sturridge cause he lose confidence after giving away the penalty when he challenged Evra..

to grab the 3rd position in the league is still a realistic target. hopefully spurs will drop plenty of points soon and at the other end, we cannot afford another slip up starting this weekend against everton. i believe we can win at goodison park but it will be a tight affair...
*
It'll only happen if Redknapp leaves spurs..otherwise, he's got better plans than to just stay third, Spurs have never been on such a great run in the league.. this season they're on top top gear, definitely a mission impossible to topple them unless their form dips.

Wishing Drogba all the luck in the world, hope he wins the Africa Cup =)

by letting Torres continue, he's showing that he trusts Torres and has faith in him..if every game Torres subbed, his form will dampen even more..so keeping him in is the right thing to do (at least until Drogba comes back).

A managers trust in his players are crucial in getting the best out of the player =)

with our ivorians ending their ACON campaign as losing finalists, i'm worried about what mental state they'll be in when they return. brace yourself for more lethargic performances.  sweat.gif

at least we're in the fa cup next? looking forward to watching more of ryan bertrand. another solid performance and he'll be on his way to displacing ashley (deservedly) in the team.
*
+1

hopefully they'll be more optimistic instead of pessimists.. pray hard Drogba is really pissed and raging, play aggressive football, muscle his way through EPL defences like a wild raging Elephant flex.gif !!

not scar of attacking defender, jus that Luiz always dribbling.. not sure is it bcos of this, when the time defense, he like lazy to chase.. few times i saw him looking at opponent attack without run back.. sigh~ doh.gif

*
Not few .. it's A LOT..he should be deployed in midfield instead of defence..

I wonder in the next game, will AvB bench senior players and let the youngsters have a go since the senior players so pissed at him.. LoL laugh.gif

I will give green light if he chooses to pair Torress with Lukaku up front.

Seems that a lot of us here wants AVB to be sacked,

I support AVB though, asking for managers to be sacked wont have any positive effect for the current team, unless the manager gets the sack. Pretty much lose-lose situation for the manager.
*
I'm on AvB's side too. IMO, the senior players know their time is almost up as younger players are integrated into the team.

They feel threatened or maybe fear they might get 'disposed' like Anelka and Alex, just dumped aside.. so yea, senior players who have contributed and won silverware will definitely not want AvB around to bench their bums.

When AvB came, his task was not to win silverware but also to rebuild an aging team. Mourinho when he first came, he didn't have to deal with an aging team.. so it's not fair to compare and judge Mourinho and AvB as they inherited totally different teams.

We have youngster capable of replacing current senior players, but they are always loaned out and lack the real chance to experience playing as a team, as a Chelsea team.

The best way to integrate young blood into an aging team is to not just immitate Arsenal but to improve on what Arsene Wenger has done at Arsenal. One cannot keep fielding old heroes in hopes they would bring continuous victory.

jus worry if most of those players dont like AVB and play bad soccer to make AVB being sacked.. then that's bad.. i hope not..
*
It if does, it'll be similar to the Scolari case.. players 'kicked' him out~

TBH, I have a feeling we'll sail through with no problems..expecting to win either 2-0 or 2-1 at Napoli smile.gif most important to score away goals to gain strong advantage in case of draw.. LoL smile.gif
