turkey weren't exactly fantastic under hiddink. what with failing to qualify for the euros and all. do we have a better squad than turkey? aah..now that's a tough question 
i'm starting to think if losing out on the CL is such a bad thing. just give it a thought..next season all the big players will not want to come to CFC, and attractive/exuberant wages won't be on offer either due to financial constraints of missing out on europe. in addition to that i foresee a number of seniors running down their contracts or being picked up by other clubs because their places aren't guaranteed anymore in the team. they'll be more than willing to leave and i wouldn't be shocked one bit if the only 'senior' player we're left with at the start of the 2012/2013 season is john terry.

the biggest positive? one way or another we'll be FORCED to use our academy/youth players and our rebuilding process can really get under way. what other choice do we have? this is the only route left to explore imho, if we don't want to end up being banned from europe by going on massive shopping sprees every other season. this is the only logical step left for our beloved club.

which brings me to my next point: if we do end up outside the top four and roman loses his patience (a very realistic scenario, as all chelsea fans should know by now), my vote for the new boss goes to brendan rodgers. he knows a thing or two about most of our young stars and most importantly he's shown at swansea that he can get his team playing as a fluid and cohesive unit. in addition to that, with the player power broken by the departure of most of the elder statesmen, his job will be made at least 10 times easier.  roman isn't ignorant, i'm sure he knows swansea is being coached by one of his former employees and he'll be keeping an eye on their progress.

bring off torres. He maybe not getting the service he requires but it seems like he will never get good service the way were playing. So bring on drog,  at least he can try tocreate something mata or sturridge and vice versa
