I am in Singapore this week and I have international roaming enabled for celcom. I was not able to connect to M1 data network although I have international roaming activated by celcom. I am not sure whether it is due to custom ROM Apex 1.0.0 that I used. Has anybody tried the galaxy nexus on custom rom for international data roaming?

QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Feb 8 2012, 04:06 PM) you have to manually enable data roaming in network settings. I did manually enable it in Settings->...> Mobile Network--> Enable International Data Roaming

QUOTE(agn @ Feb 8 2012, 04:33 PM) i have used the Maxis RM33 per day international roaming using a GNex custom rom with no issue. A friendly warning - please manually also select your network. If you leave it on automatic, and your phone isnt able to connect to your roaming parter, it may switch to another provider in SG and if your data roaming is on - you will be charged separately by MB used. I did manually select Singapore M1 for celcom international roaming. I can see there is a "R" in the data network icon in the top status bar (I guessed it stand for roaming) and the network bar was almost full but it is not showing connected (not showing the icon in blue color) I suspect it might be celcom problem. I called them up and they asked me to call M1 instead. Customer Service sucks.

QUOTE(agn @ Feb 8 2012, 04:55 PM) also check, if you haven't already, that its connect to the correct APN on your network settings. With Maxis roaming, i didn't have to change my APN to a SG setting but I'm not sure how the Celcom roaming works. Where do u configure d apn setting on d phone?

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Feb 8 2012, 09:51 PM) is under mobile network there, go check for it *maybe different due to android 4.0 @@ Managed to get the international data roaming to work. Discovered that there were two APN defined for Celcom. One is Celcom3G and one is Celcom Internet. Default was on Celcom Internet which can not connect. Switch to Celcom3G and it works. Thanks for the guidance.

QUOTE(xxdooyo @ Feb 18 2012, 10:42 PM) Guys, what good kernel to go with apex rom. I'm thinking to flash apex kernel v5. Any other recommendation? I used to use Apex kernel with apex rom. But find it a bit lagging and battery life not as good as franco kernel. I am using apex rom with franco kernel.
