QUOTE(t3n @ Feb 3 2012, 10:34 PM) Remember do nandroid backup using recovery.. If u want to send back for warranty, just restore back to no-yakju version... Yes, it will stay yakju permanently... Custom ROM will not get official ICS update, note that.. oh ya, nandroid backup before we flash any single thing. |

QUOTE(Xp3rT @ Feb 7 2012, 12:04 PM) using toolkit to root my Gnex and it reset everythg to original.i guess i took wrong step. if i am not mistaken, google will change the primary recovery to its own every time we reboot, so we have to rename the file, in order to reboot in cwm instead of going in fastboot mode every time.Added on February 7, 2012, 12:19 pmreroot again and it's done..what is rename restore recovery file?i need to do this if i wan flash cwm with stock rom? i am not quite sure, need some pro to help too. and i googled this, hope it helps QUOTE Why would you need to restore the stock recovery? To be able to successfully install an over-the-air (OTA) Android update from Google or your carrier. Note: if, when you installed ClockworkMod custom recovery, you renamed your /system/recovery-from-boot.p file to make ClockworkMod "stick", you should be able to rename it back to its original name and then reboot to cause the stock recovery to be automatically re-flashed for you. source; http://androidforums.com/verizon-galaxy-ne...#stock-recovery This post has been edited by 1000words: Feb 7 2012, 02:33 PM |
