clear cache & dalvik cache for changing very different style kernel.
same kernel for just updated version, without clear should be fine, except the dev required.

is Nexus S, for 1.6k as he mentioned before. he had provided the model i9250 to his dad for correction.

offline navigation: Aura Sygic is the best for me. I also installed NDrive for secondary.
online navigation: Google Navigator are always the best.

I don't think there is way to disable the maps (uninstall map, yes) and will preserve battery. all navigation apps usually consume more battery while using, this is normal. that's why car charger always ready in my car.

yes, you're right. the stock map will not available in our location as google open for US only.
google ownhere/Brut.all version of google map. the dev had unlocked the google navigation feature for all country. make sure you have the data plan connection if you need turn-by-turn navigation work. if only map view can prefetch in advanced.

already installed, almost same idea with stock as ideally sync with our Desktop Chrome as long as we sign in same gmail account but this Chrome Beta have better UI icon_rolleyes.gif
