Real Madrid to open the bidding at £30m for in-demand Arsenal captain Van Persie

Real Madrid will make an offer for Robin van Persie in the summer as they join the £30million race for the Arsenal striker.
Manchester City and Barcelona are also keen on the Dutchman, 28, who has 16 months left on his Arsenal contract and is yet to commit to another deal.
Madrid will also look to put Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain in as part of the deal. Higuain, 24, is a target for Chelsea but has been long admired by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Sportsmail revealed last week that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is plotting an ambitious move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
But it appears boss Jose Mourinho would rather go for Van Persie, who has the versatility to play as an imposing No 9 such as Didier Drogba, or take a place on either flank.
Mourinho's own future at the Bernabeu is in serious doubt, but he has told his bosses that 28-year-old Van Persie would be a perfect fit.

Gonzalo Higuain must leave before a move for Van Persie can materialise

Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu has done little to calm reports linking his club with a move, saying only that there would be no immediate move for the former Feyenoord player.
'There is nothing going on at the moment,' he said. 'There are some rumours, but this is not the right time to talk about Van Persie.
'We have to focus on our performances on the pitch.'

It would be hard for the Hollywood team to catch up if Real got 3 points tomorrow.

By leaving out Xavi, Inieasta and Fabregas from the start , Pep thinks they got better chance of winning UCl than the league

izit just me or anyone else..

after we 'shake' nou camp with that 2-2 draw CdR, barcelona was never look like the team like they was past 2-3 years.

IINM only 2 wins for them after that match (1 league, 1 CdR vs Valencia 2nd leg)
and they had an unbelievable 1st half.

however madrid MUST NOT LOSE FOCUS.

& hopefully JM dont rest key players on bench and become complacent.

secure the game first and we should see how.

dont worry.. underestimate opponent is not JM style.. he will put the strongest line up.. and make sure that we finished the game as fast as we can.. me predict.. if we can score 2-0.. get ready to switch off tv and get to bed as we will play "sit back and relax" gameplay..
