just my suggestion, for those organizing the badminton session, all those who sign up must pay weekly, even if cant come. if come regularly and cant make it once or twice, can be exempted from paying based on case by case basis.

my colleague previously organized one and making it compulsory for all to pay will be fair to all. the person organizing will be collecting the money and extras will be put towards fund for extra cocks.

currently i'm playing with uncles/aunties at Tampines. all those are pro dammit. make me feel like oldfag compared to them

To be honest, I've never seen anyone get his credit card application rejected before. If you meet the minimum 80K income criteria, then your credit standing/history must be the issue.
*
Problem is I dont have any record in Sg. The officer request for cc history from other banks in Sg but I only have cc in Msia which is useless here. I dont like to be tied to more than 1 bank in 1 country for cc. Prefer citi due to their miles redemption.

P.S: 80k requirement is just a figure. Normally they will lower it down by 30% or more.

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Apr 25 2012, 11:23 PM)
can appeal ?  shocking.gif
*
Yeah, cuz I told the officer my application rejected once when he asked me to apply.

Till now i still clueless about the types of citibank card. They gave me a Dividend card, which i never use even once and a Clear card which i always use. All i know is Clear giving cash rebates on the spot  rclxms.gif  . What about Premiermiles ? Earn travel miles ?
*
Premiermiles can earn Citi Miles. $1 earn 1.2 Citi Miles. And if you dont want the Miles, you can convert it to cash blush.gif

QUOTE(r1v3r @ Apr 26 2012, 10:10 AM)
how good is their miles redemption?

IMO, if income is 80k or more they should approved even you have no history. Did you nego to lower the credit limit for start (which is usually a few times of your salary) then raise the limit once you have good record on the ground that this is your first CC in SG?
*
$1 earn 1.2 Citi Miles. Normally they give you 2X month salary as credit limit. After 6 months, they will increase it to 4X if behave properly. Good suggestion, probably I will just ask for 1X credit limit lol

Who told you that the minimum income requirement is just a figure?

The officer? His commission is based on the number of applications. The applications don't need to be successful.
*
Maybe but few of my colleagues have the card and their salary nowhere close to that.

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Apr 26 2012, 11:09 AM)
if I decided to convert it to cash, is it higher than Clear card ? but Clear card a lot of dining perks, which i use quite often  smile.gif
I seldom pay for luxurious food tongue.gif Boss take the hit. I just want to get the card for convinience when oversea. Easier for claim/reimbursement.

freshies engineer paid 2200 and above.

for expenses, check back few pages back, i think there's a breakdown. generally 1000 will be enough for a small room (500), food (300-400) and bill/transport (100). if you share room, can save/spend more.
